Witton Albion vs Kidsgrove Athletic.

Witton open their home programme in the Evo-Stik Division One South on Tuesday evening, when they welcome Kidsgrove Athletic to The NetDec Stadium. “The Grove” under the guidance of experienced manager Peter Ward finished last season in the lower half of the table but are fancied to do well this season , following a number of additions to their squad. A lot will depend on the goalscoring prowess of striker Anthony Malbon who is also the club captain at The Novus Stadium, and his partnership with new signing from Romulus, Luke Keen. The fixture also sees the return of three former Witton midfielders in the Kidsgrove squad in Ross Davidson, Dan Skelton & the recently signed John Dillon. The season began rather disappointingly for them at the weekend, as they were beaten at home by Belper Town. Witton will be looking to build on an excellent start after their first ever “league” victory at Stamford but anything gained from the game will be hard-earned. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 7.45pm.
