I am with postyred on this, I see my Saturday afternoons at WP these days as an opportunity to catch up with my mates and the witton family, have some nice beer in the club and a nice pie, if we win its a bonus. It always used to be the other way round. The football is secondary to me now, which is a shame as I’ve never felt like that as a Wittoner all my life. If you criticise on here (even constructively) you seem to upset and anger people so I won’t be giving my opinions anymore. At least we still have a club I guess. UTA
What worries me most from the Chairman’s rant is, that it only confirms my fears that the decision are not being made on a footballing basis Carl got a ringing endorsement from the Marine Chairman so that swung it for him  it’s all well and good having a great off the field setup, which to be fair to the Chairman we do have, when the on the field is abysmal :silly:
And is this not the same excuse as last season regarding the ‘cancer in the dressing room’? Scott Bakkor was apparently that under Sully, he left and we were still garbage!
I feel for Harris it can’t be a nice place for him to be right now, BUT he put himself in this position so I am sorry you take the rough with the smooth.
But can it get any worse?
We could have paid not a single penny of a 37p in the pound CVA, been wound up, morphed into another company, carried on unsustainably, lost the ground…had the fans start up a new club whilst we stumble on…

We are currently sat on a multi million pound asset!!!
Please give Carl a chance. On Saturday he had only been with the club 5 days. If you want to sign anybody from another club, you have to put in 7 days notice of approach, so please give him some breathing space.

Can’t believe this forum had been infiltrated by so many v**s fans determined to undermine our club. Are you Witton fans or not? Fans support the club through thick and thin. Criticism of the board is understandable but unfair. If you can do any better I’m sure your input and money would be welcomed
As for criticism of the management, FFS he’s had 1 game. Give him a chance
UTA!
Yes fans support the CLUB, not individuals who come and go. And in MY OPINION some of those individuals are ruining Witton Albion.
Its like people can’t have an opinion these days unless it conforms to the masses. Some people on here need to take the blinkers off and have a look at what is really going on
Drug money laundering??
I think TT makes a good point the only signing He could make were probably youths, So we hope to see a couple of players in soon who can make a difference and I hope we dont see 1 up front at home again it was never 4-3-3 Titch was absolutely isolated up front and I think that handed the game to Lancaster. Well over to Crewe tomorrow lets hope we can contain their usual good football and sneak a win. UTA
The problem appears to be that the board have targeted finance as their main priority and though they seem to have done a wonderful job in that area they seem to have forgotten that the only reason a football club exists is to win matches. In my humble opinion we need a leader on the field who has “Been there, done that” someone like Nigel Cleghorn. There must be an ex league player who would like to spend the twilight of his career helping a great club like ours re-find its way?
WHS.
abysmal, pathetic, unbelievable, unnacceptable, Understandable, hope 7 plus days means a clearout and some new faces with fight to supplement the several players we have who always give 100%. The new players who played Saturday blatently not good enough but guess its hard to expect miracles in less than 7 days!!
I don’t really agree with this latest managerial appointment but saying that Carl and CO have my support and I wish you the best in turning round our already horrible season. Carl for those who might not remember was a great player and full back for us so already has Witton ingrained in his make up so at least deserves the chance to have a go.
On the subject of “Sir” Brian Pritchard (I’d knight him anyway for services to Witton albion), I know you read this forum and your probably bitterly dissapointed. You will always be a hero to many people at this club but I also consider you a friend having known you for 19 years or so. Don’t be lost to the club please I appreciate you might want some time away at the moment but you will always get the warmest of welcomes from even the most cynical fan. Who better to hold up as an Icon to all current and future players on how to conduct yourself at a player at a football club!! We need 11 of your type right now out on the football field if we are to get out of this mess we have got ourselves in!!
Why not make Brian the honorary King of Witton Albion FC?

I guess he’s pretty pi$$ed off at the way he’s been treated at the moment
