I thought the trialist, who played in the 1st half wearing number 7 was very impressive. Don’t know his name, but I would hope he is signed on.
Yes, the number 7 played well certainly tricky, but can he score goals? We got away with many points last season because Tames playing on the wing came inside and scored many vital goals, plus when Jones went off he went up top and again scored a fair few goals. Without him and Owen Dale we do look well short of goals and it showed again last night. I Wasn’t too bothered about losing tbh as when you are using so many trialists it’s hard to win any game and it seems clear vs wanted it a bit more on the night, they might do well in their league this season.
Would we have lost if the ref had VAR to correct his mistakes! In allowing the first goal after playing on from a clear foul and missing a big offside and then giving a dodgy penalty to clinch the win. He was surely the MOM for Vs, I have seen him before in local games and he is not very good. UTA
No complaints really about the score. I thought that NVFC were more composed on the night and looked more of a team than we did (as CJ says probably down to all the team changes). I think they will do well in their league. AS for us, well we need a couple of forward players as CJ says. No doubt Carl has irons in the fire
