CORRECTION:
Red card:
Wittonâs Rob Hopley on 90+2 minutes.
Dreadful game, poor performance by both us and the Ref who started well but lost the plot, didnt deserve to lose or do enough to win, it seems we have signed some players to boost the squad but today showed really we still need a bit of quality not just numbers, not a clue why the ref sent Rob off - i think the keeper told him what happened !!! ridiculous decision, the only bit of warmth to take from today was seeing Williams back- if Rob Hopley gets a 3 match ban we will really struggle up front with Tames out also they are really our only 2 decent players up front IMO. Agree draw probably correct result. Had better chances but lack a clear finisher. Frustrating seeing an unnecessary touch taken every time we get it in the box.
Kidsgrove might be tricky given they only just lost to shaw lane but hopefully weâll have enough
Desperately missed Matty Devine today, Barraus certainly is a different player when Matty plays.
Just an off day which happens, just unfortunate it happened to be against them.
Says a lot when the keeper is asking the linesman after 15 mins how longs gone . Referee should have got a grip on the time wasting early on.
Only consolation is we hopefully only have to play them once more ever.
One club in Northwich , always has been always will be

Yes Matty was a big loss for us today and all because of that incompetent ref at Chester. A strangely passionless game today where we didnât really get going and they belied their lowly (before any pending points deduction) position. Their keeper made a couple of really good stops mind. I was right there when we scored and tried to get the ball back quickly the Vcs players seemed to talk the ref into the sending off I was sure it would be Brad as heâd been booked and I was shouting at him to leave it. What on earth Rob did to deserve a strait red god only knows Iâve never seen him do anything to even deserve a yellowâŚcan we appeal it?? Also why those few Vcs fans chose to be at our end in the second half and try to cause trouble I canât understand, maybe they are the ones who were lauding Rushes drug involvemet against Glossop or just frustrated about their sad situationâŚhey ho COME ON THE ALBIOOOOON!!
Witton Albion always has been and always will be a well run club.
So glad Iâm a Wittoner and didnât follow my mums family.
Brad was head to head with one of their players, and I did think he could have received a second yellow for it. Rob then ran in and grabbed one of them by the collar, next to the guys jaw, so would have been sent off for raised hands.
Proud of the team today, why? Because they were all off form basically but just rolled up their sleeves and got the draw. Previous Witton sides would have folded.
WHS.
If getting sent off for trying to get the ball back and trying to get on with the game then god help us. Only one team wanted to get on with the game today and again weâve been punished.
We lost Matty today because of a ridiculous decision and now weâre going to lose Rob for possibly three games due .
At what point does this stop and the FA do something about it.
Weâve got a cracking team but bad decisions and common sense have the chance of costing us dearly
Dreadful game today with no quality and very little determination (I thought the lads had been in the lash with me) Iâll give credit when due but today was not that day. Today should be an eye opener for the management team because although the players have been Fantastic so far this season we are short of quality in numbers. I have every faith Carl has it covered
Fair result TBH- we werenât at the races and a draw isnât a bad result - over the years when we werenât the best weâve always got results against strong Vix teams over the Xmas period.
But as a club we should be embarrassed no lager, no draught ales and bloody appalling service in the club before and at half time(not the personnels fault). Two turnstiles and queues that you would die for on a normal league game!
But to be fair who would think weâd get a big crowd against them on a Bank Holiday weekend?â
Still
Prefered watching the fog last week to that non event.Good attendance, but how many will return after that. VCS seemed up for it more than us, especially on the timewasting front. Hope Iâm wrong on this, but of the 10 outfield Vcs players on show I would have chosen any of them before the one that we signed from them. We,ve just got to get used to the standard of refereeing, it won,t change and today the game should have been won before he got a say in it. Thanks to Brad we salvaged a draw, and next game we should have another star player back at left back.
Thor have paid so all good for the âWittonersâ who have leant money over the years and will now be paid back.
To those Wittoners like myself who donât lend but give unreservedly and without receipt who have donated and sponsored and supported the club over the years well itâs a thank you and youâre gettin Jack and the club despite the positive spin are getting LESS than they would from housing (watch out for the positive spin from Chairman Mao:Harris
So in short we havenât got a captive audience of houses around us and weâre getting less than we should have!
But weâve still got OUR club!

But if debt is furnished so that more income is available week by week, month by month for the good of the club and to help all the clubs budgetsâŚIâve given of myself and my money over the years without any wish to see a penny piece back, but major former directors loans could be called in at ANY time and destroy us. But forward we go as a sustainable club with our destiny in our own hands. Mark Harris, who I donât know and havenât met, only ever seems to tell the truth to me. One dissapointment over a game I certainly expected us to win easily but we didnât and you post THIS. You are on the front of the âSons of Albionâ book and you need to grow up.
Thanks Andy for that very concise and accurate MATCH REPORT. Thought you may have mentioned the ref.
Clubs will have off days throughout the season and unfortunately today was ours , we created enough to win it but this team has given such good performances this season then why are we complaining. The only reason we are annoyed is because of who it was against.
Anyone who was at Chester the other week will appreciate what this team is about
Without injury and suspension we would have won a lot more.
So instead of focussing on negatives letâs focus on where we are.
I counted how many of there fans were behind the goal , very few for a local derby, no ground , where would we rather be ,
I cant believe that nobody has mentioned the wind at todays game? I think strong wind is the worst weather condition for players to play in, and definitely had a major factor on the quality of the play!, especially the 1st half.
