Just the 3 points above the drop zone now. Worrying.
Prescot surprised me today I thought they were a well organised side who attacked and defended in numbers. Really impressed with both of their goal scorers today, the number 7 was a constant thorn in our side and the big old fashioned centre forward bullied our back four. I can’t believe how a club such as Prescott who we previously thrashed out of sight can change their manager and put together such a lively and dangerous team in such a short space of time. We should be chasing that number 9 big style, forget the Mr Nice Guy approach just sign him on. Witton or Prescot???I am sure we could tempt him. Please no more youth players we need some seasoned pros to get us out of this mess and fast.
A team we battered 6 a few weeks ago turns us over at home and hardly a ripple. Bizarre!
a lot has changed since then Andy ? for both teams.
I’m sure everyone has seen the Barclays advert on the telly about the walking football. I think our team should enter that because most of them do walk when they are on the field. Can’t believe that their 1st goal was scored after we were all stuck in their penaly area after a corner. I appreciate our management team have only been in the job 5 minutes but we are talking about basics here. The team is simply not fit enough, not good enough and the worst I’ve seen in 57 years of support. I do hope that we have experienced reinforcements on the way otherwise NW counties next season. What really does upset me too is that Prescots budget has got to be lower than ours yet they looked far better than us. What a sorry mess we are in!!
I think given the way the Dundass rent boys left us in trouble Carl has had to “plug holes” He has now signed a permanent keeper who had a good game and now Rob Hopley who on paper is a class signing, we are still a bit lightweight I think rather than unfit particularly in midfield and Scott Lycett needs a partner who is more dominant, we are getting there but maybe a bit slower than we hoped unfortunately.
CJ I think you will find that the keeper who played Saturday is on loan from the Liverpool academy. However he has signed a replacement in Ryan Nield from AFC Liverpool.
