Great win for the ALBS. To say a hard fought game is an under statement. I have never seen such a game were nearly every couple of minutes there was a foul. At times in the 2nd half, I thought it was going to get very ugly, and I cant believe nobody received a red card!

Another good performance & result, Billy Smart & Cesaire excellent in midfield Liam Goulding steady at the back Will Jones again very good & is there a more consistent centre half than Josh Wardle. Solid all over the pitch UTA

A good win and a good performance against a team that can only be described as thugs. In my 50 odd years of watching Witton i have never seen such blatant thuggery as committed by Scarborough. The only reason they finished the game with 11 players is down to the awful display by an utterly useless referee. The number of off ball attacks by the Scarborough players were numerous and bordered on gbh. The Scarborough players are a disgrace and should be ashamed of themselves. The Witton players should be proud of themselves that they refused to drop to their level. UTA

A very solid win we were much the better side all over the pitch. Again we looked better when Sambor went more central and advanced. What a shower Borough were, if I was watching them every week I would be asking questions for sure! Probably as bad as Belper and that’s bad! Witton were excellent in restraint and Billy Smart last season would have seen red but he seems to have learnt his lesson and his game has come on massively. Besides scoring a beauty of a goal, he was everywhere and my mom, it was also good to see Tom Owens back on form after a lean spell. Well done lads UTA

Scarborough Athletic have since parted company with manager John Deacey by mutual consent, following their sixth successive defeat in all competitions.
