Well that was a bit sad, first half Spennymoor looked the bigger and better side, Witton a bit nervous after Tuesdays game maybe gave the ball away cheaply and too often, second half We upped the tempo and deserved to pull level with the penalty after good play by Witton and we dominated mostly but wasted some half decent chances, great to see Powell back and he looked the part just play him and let him build up his fitness, silly foul by Grayson on our left and then a decent cross deep and all our players went following it, nodded back into the middle and 2 Spennymoor players waiting to head it into an empty net without a Witton player near ! really unjust goal but we got punished, but whilst dissapointed to lose the players put everything into it and really deserved at least a point.
Onto Manager interviews now lets hope the new man is found, we get it right and he has a few good players up his sleeve and with the reassuring Roberts back in the nets We should be ok I think. UTA
Agree with CJ summed the game up very well. For me it was yet another game where I was wishing we had the other teams forwards .Yes I know we persist in hitting high balls to small players which doesn’t help, but even on the ground if they don’t fall over their feet or the ball they trouble any fans behind the goal a lot more than the keeper.

I believe we may of seen the last of Roberts in goal for Witton, i do like the new keeper though hes a great shop stopper
I understand he is on contract so cannot go unless we sell him.
WHS.

Why do you believe that? Like CJ says unless we sell him he can’t go anywhere and I doubt we’d sell the best keeper we’ve had in a long time that would just be crazy
We were unlucky not to get a draw today, they looked sharp on the corners and their big lads were waiting to head it in the back of the net. They didn’t look like a top of the table team who haven’t lost a game TBH
Regarding Roberts, I was talking to him at Farsley and he seemed upbeat about being at Witton ( even as the goals kept going in) and he was going to give things a go at WP.
That is good news re Roberts he looks a great keeper and will be a hero here, with a couple or three signing and Powell and Scofield fitter We can be a force under a new manager.
Heard Roberts, Baker and Chadwick have gone. Not sure if anyone can confirm.
As for refusing to go out for the warm up, perhaps some of them deserve to go. The new manager has a big job on.
I heard the same rumour last night but can’t confirm anything as yet. Chadwick is on contract, the other two are not.
How long does it take to aappoint new manger. I suppose after cocking up the last two appointments they want to get it right but it is severely hampering our chances of getting back up. SORT IT OUT HARRIS.
The final interviews took place today, an announcement will be made in the next few days probably after Tuesdays game but i would expect the new Manager to be in place for Saturday’s game

Can anyone confirm if Roberts is on contract?
Who refused to warm up?
Gary Roberts is.
I Understand Chadwick is on contract, Roberts and Baker are maybe not, I for sure would like to keep Chadwick and Roberts but it may depend on the new manager re who he likes, if he can persuade them to stay and who he has as potential players to come in ?
Looking forward to a new era and really hope it works out this time-whoever it is we need to get behind them from the start. UTA
