I just wish to thank the chairman and directors for arranging the presentation on the pitch before kick off for me regarding the shirt sponsorship.
Myself, Matt, Ronnie and Danny had a very good evening
I hope the shirt sales continue in the present vein to benefit both club and charity.
A perfect evening as we showed off our purchases in the Kingfisher pub to everyone .and a 3-1 win . Please forgive any spelling mistakes as we have got a taste for Amereto with our normal larger. Physio on Wakefield bench looked fit or was it the beer?

A light at the end of the tunnel!!!

Superb result tonight, but an even more important performance.

Wakefield had a couple of giants in their team, one in defence and one in attack. Consequently, they were always a threat from set pieces, and we could easily have been turned over by them.

However, thanks to some great coaching from Pritch on the touchline, Ben Harrison and Ian Kearney dealt with it. Matty Woods also benifited from non-stop coaching from Pritch, and as such was always breaking down their attacks, aswell as causing problems to their defence.

The 2 guys from Hyde, Pugh and Stott showed so much more than Saturday, and it now becomes evident why Oggie signed them.

Danny Griggs from Nantwich had a magnificient debut, and caused Wakefield problems all game.

Cooper, Macca, Heler, Holt, and Frost all exelled as usual (soory if I have miised out a player).

Andy Kinsey finally came good with a brilliant hatrick.

Don’t take this as a joke, but my man-of-the-match was Pritch, even though he didn’t play. In Oggie’s absence through illness, Brian gave non-stop encouragement, support and advice to the team, and single handedly bullied them to this win!

A came home really happy after this game

Could not make it last night.Junior football duty in Beirut,Wigan with Crosfields.

Great to score a bag full of goals against by all accounts a good Wakefield side.

The squad now looks full of proven quality mixed with our best of local talent beliefs.

Mixing a girls drink with lager, whilst wearing the red and white stripes is no excuse TWS,although on this occasion we will turn a blind eye.

Great performance and the wakefield keeper kept them in the game for long periods in the first half when the score could easily have been doubled.

I think it is going to be a roller coaster year and we are going to have to be patient and not get too excited by either the ups or downs. That said this game did warm the heart !

Bouncebackability!

A lot better performance, good result I only saw 2 of our goals - thanks to Frank for the updates!

We played with a lot more pace and purpose than the Curzon game, spearheaded by Macca.

Looked quite solid, Griggs looks like a good acquisition and great to see Kinsey get a hat trick.

Up the Albs!

I appreciate that this post may be a little off topic and some of it has been said before and I understand that the punishment for this sort of thing is banishment from the forum but I couldn’t help notice that the attendance at Chester last night was almost exactly 10 times that of Witton. Given that with these resources they are likely to finish in the top 5 come May, it seems rather sad that the ‘proper’ non-league club that finishes 6th will have been punished as a result of Chester’s wrong-doings. Particularly sad if the team finishing 6th is Witton. Still, same thing happening in lots of leagues eh? With apologies to big brother whom I know is watching me…

A very good and enjoyable performance, the new signings were excellent and to a man we played well, liked seeing Kinsey celebrate his hatrick, he deserved his round of applause, real cause for optimism I think, well done to the team and mgt, as ever the trick is to keep it going in a substained run of good results and ill keep my fingers crossed.

It was great to see Witton come up with a win and get the three points. But reading some of this thread and risking excommunication I think I must have been at a different game because Wakefield weren’t good, in fact they were pretty bad - it looked like the reserves had turned up. The big central defender was outstripped for pace by players who weren’t particularly quick; their forward may have been big and if there is a prize for height then fair enough but he offered little else.

Having said that the three points must be welcomed and a bit of back slapping now and then does no harm.

On another note: what has happened to the Witton young player policy that was widely published pre-season; there were three on the bench, one left out of the squad and only one got a kick. Then there is poor Frosty who gets his obligatory 10 minutes however well he plays - funny old game football!

But surely a Wittoner wouldn’t be hounded off the forum FGS!!

I cannot make Wednesday evenings due to other committments…but I will not be “chucking a tenner” or any more of my hardearned into the Albs (as I have done in the past, just sickened by what has gone on here! some contributors ought to be thouroughly and utterly ashamed of themselves!

Fossy, take your point but I suspect a large number of teams will be poor in this league we just have to good enough to beat them, I stand with 5-6 others and we were all pretty impressed with our commitment, fitness and style in this match the first time really this season hence the degree of optimism, on the youngsters are they good enough ? Harrison is young so is woods and they are playing ? and finally on Frosty I think he is still feeling his way back after injury and will be happy to be coming on off the bench until he feels his injury is clear, I agree with you tho that I would like to see him in the team when he is fit.“cmon Wittern”

Boring Hell MM!

Heaven forbid that we concentrate on a fine and important home win!

I have spoken to the administrators of the forum and noone has been banned or excommunicated Lowey! The whole things contradictory - it seems that when people have an opinion on the forum and others don’t agree, the previously dominant posters then go and sulk - kind of ironic really!

Re Chester - absolutely scandalous that they should be allowed in this league. They are a new team.

Anyway Up The Albs!

Oh, boring hell, hell boring…nice to see you…

It was a brilliant victory for the Albs…I was commenting upon Proud lifelong Wittoners being hounded off the forum (not banned/excluded by the moderators) by other posters. In a proud family community focused help for hero’s associated club this ought not happen…that was my point.

to see you nice
