Witton Albion X1 vs Tranmere Rovers (PSF).

Full Time Score from The NetDec Stadium :

Witton Albion X1 1 Tranmere Rovers 0.

Witton Albion overcame a strong and full-time Tranmere Rovers side last night (Wednesday ) in an entertaining Pre Season Friendly at The NetDec Stadium. Miles Arnold scored the only goal of the game for the Albion youngsters, despite Tranmere hitting the woodwork. The game was well attended and also had members of the Tranmere Coaching Staff casting and eye over the precedings as well as Witton assistant manager Gary Martindale, a former Tranmere Rovers player. Amongst the Witton line-up was a midfielder, Ronan Eves who has progressed through the under 16s set up and the Development Squad and certainly caught the eye of the Albion Coaching Staff that he has been invited to train with the First team squad in the coming weeks.

Incidentally, goalscorer Miles Arnold will be involved in the first team squad for tomorrow night’s Pre Season Friendly away at Burscough.

Tranmere Rovers officials were very complimentary about the facilities and particularly the playing surface at The NetDec Stadium, they made a tremendous gesture to our club, by handing over a donation to our Groundstaff, the sum of £140 to be put into the Witton Albion Pitch Fund.

Brilliant, some good news and many thanks to Tranmere always liked them as a club, lets hope they have a good season. UTA
