Fabio Capello was there having a look at some real Englsh talent, Lloyd for England anyone?
The Italian flag was flying to encourage Witton players to pasta the ball better than at Prescot.
Yes RS65 the pitch is standing up pretty well, down as usual to Spruce and his small team of helpers, however one person in particular Pete Robinson has spent many hours divoting and filling holes on the pitch, every time I go to the ground he is working on the most tedious work you could imagine. Well done Pete.
Good performance yesterday, Macca was excellant and i thought Barras at the back had a good game too. But Lloydy, what a player. He turns so quickly and sharply, great player.
Final stretch now, lets keep the momentum.
Very professional performance. Thought the midfield was excellent and Lloydy had one of his best games for the last couple of months. Macca worked relentlessly, and Browny was great again. Also though Cav had a good game at full back.
If we keep creating chances, and playing our passing game then there is no reason why we won’t pick up plenty of points in the next few games.
Gateshead on Weds will be difficult but the fact that they have to win may play in to our hands. They are going to have to commit men forward and hopefully this should give our attacking players some space.
I honestly believe that if we manage a win at Gateshead the title is ours, a draw will be almost as good. Defeat? Will not consider losing.
WHS.
I’d like to add my thanks to Pete Robinson too as well as for all the other ground staff guys. Pete really does know what he’s talking about and I know for a fact he’s slogged hours on that pitch and put a hell of a lot of time in. Unsung hero bout time he had some praise as he’s been watching Witton longer than me andI’ve done 50 years in two weeks!! See you Saturday Pete!!
Have been off that long I have forgotten what my match comments were:laugh:
Anyway - MoM Cav Coo - Great to see him back !
