GET IN!!!
I’m guessing its finished now?
ZIGGA ZAGGA ZIGGA ZAGGA !!
AL-BI-ON!
Full Time Score: WORKSOP TOWN 2 WITTON ALBION 2.
So we have to win the last two games to give ourselves any chance. Big ask, but possible. If we get 6 points, then I would say we stand a good chance of staying up, but a lot depends on Tuesday night’s Nantwich v. Boston game. Come on you Dabbers!
Could have done with all three but a point is better than nothing. We simply have to win at Whitby, anything but a win and I feel we are down.
Have to agree, must win last two games, but after what seems to have been a great fightback today perhaps there is a bit of hope.
WHS.
A game of two halves if ever there was one.
First half we were second best by a distance.
Second haf was a different matter but not many chances created.
Maylett’s goal was a screamer.
Unfortunately the overall quality was not good and we will have to go some to win the remaining two games.
At least the spirit was there today (good riddance to Lawless if he’s got a bad attitude).
Keep battling lads.
Taken from the Uni Bond site this evening re Camel Lairds
At a meeting on Tuesday evening the UniBond League Board took the decision that Cammell Laird would lose their Premier Division status at the end of the season whether or not they finished in a relegation position.
The League had been informed in writing by the FA’s Technical Panel which is responsible for ground grading that it had not been able to award the club the “C” grade which it needed in order to continue to play in the top flight.
When promoted last season Lairds had been given until 31st March 2009 to obtain the required grading. The decision is subject to appeal and it is understood that the club do intend to appeal against the decision.
Obviously no respect for witton at all old lawless, I thought he would have more bottle than that, who else would have taken him on, dont get me wrong I loved him for what he did when he came here, but we need heroes now. and 2-2- at full time was the act of WiTTON heroes. Might still not be enough, but at least they tried.
I have only been back watching witton this season since 92/93, but what I have seen from YOU LOT the supporters has been beyond belief, and t5he people I have met have been bril. If at the end of the season cum what may I hope its the same as this season, but with promotion back to where we belong.

What ever thanks for making me and my mates so happy, NOT THAT ITS OVER YET.
Stu
Sorry red elvis what does that mean???
I think the team’s delay obviously had a big impact on the game. Pritch was waiting for his team-mates so long that he had grown a beard by the time they arrived!! (or was his head on upside down!?). Another captain’s display from the ‘big man’, and how good it was to hear all the Worksop fans shouting encouragement to him as he left the pitch. One guy remarked to his mate “he’s an ungainly looking character, but my word what a player”. That’s our Pritch!!
The first-minute miss may have been down to a lack of confidence, added to the hectic pre-match prep. I think from there, once Worksop scored our heads went down. Fanctastic response in the second half, and i felt we were very unlucky not to win a pen for hand ball.
Super Mike and his knackered groin managed to make an impact too, the determination shown by the likes of Pritch and Mose does seem to rub of on the other players at times.
Fingers crossed for 2 more wins. Ignore what’s going on with Lairds and let’s try and keep some control over our own fate.
Dodgers post sums up the game. Delay obviously had an effect on the players after being all over the place defensively in the first half Booth and Pritchard stood firm in the second half and didn’t much past them. Strikers were stranded of service. Lugsden needs to be used down the middle, maybe now Lawless is gone they could push Dan Warner up to left midfield and let Gary Scott play in his natural left back position. Maylett has great skills, when he runs it is like the ball is glued to his foot but struggles with crossing so if Warner can push further on we may get more service to the strikers.
Was a good comeback and good to see Ollie James back. No particular stand out for man of the match Booth, Pritchard, James and Dunn were the better performers though, Ashley Dunn for me probably pips it, ran tirelessly, made a some good challenges and kept things ticking over in midfield. He is one I do hope stays next season, a great signing and prospect.

I had just read this on this mornings Unibond Press Release, but it doesn’t exactly say how this effects the relegation scenario.
It could mean that only 3 will go down if Cammell Lairds’ appeal is unsuccessful?
If that is so, it could mean it is Prescot Cables, Leigh Genesis and Cammell Laird, with ANO. This means it is paramount that we beat Whitby Town this week. which could be enough to avoid relegation.
However, it could mean 5 go down…the 4 in relegation positions plus Cammell Laird.
I think it extremely unlikely that five teams would be relegated. This would mean three teams promoted from one feeder division, two from the other. How would this be decided fairly? (Not that ‘fairness’ would necessarily come into it, given the given the league’s past record!)
We still don’t know what is going to happen to Northwich. There must be a reasonable chance that they will be relegated several steps down the pyramid, so there is a possibility that they will end up in one of the Unibond 1 divisions, which would further affect the relegation situation.
I’m confused now - How can they possibly have 5 go down Jeff?
Wouldn’t that be a case of changing the rules mid season??
I wouldn’t bet against Marine getting dragged into this yet;)
