Well said Jonnyamery.
WHS. :goal :goal :clap
It is all well everyone saying ignore them, they are not a threat etc and right now they are not much of threat BUT Witton Albion should be aiming to be the main football club in this town for as long as possible thirty/forty years
Right now everyone is complacent, 1874 don’t play in Northwich and are at step 6.
FC Utd/Telford they are not BUT you only have to do the maths to work out that they are going to back in step 4 within 2 to 5 seasons.
They only have to get average of 100 and they will be the biggest gate revenue team for step 5 and step 6. If they go on a roll through these leagues then more will turn up at step 4 and they could be very realistically be back in town competing with us.
We don’t want to be the main town team for 6 or 7 years, we want to dominate for the next generation.
Step 6 North West Counties League One – average att. 46
http://www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/divisions/35/
Step 5 North West Counties Premier – average att. 95
http://www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/divisions/13/
Step 4 Evo Stick One North – av att. 144
http://www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/divisions/5/2/
Step 3 Evo Stick Prem – av att 400 [but exclude FCUM and it is 331
Step 2 Conf North – 596 exclude chester is 502
Step 1 National - 1886
WWWitton, whilst I agree with most of what you say in your missive I have to point out that getting a place to play in town will be, dare I say, impossible. The cost of building a stadium is massive and apart from our ground none exist that can be updated.

This is an excellent post, and what this thread is all about.
1874 could/should take 10-15 years before they can challenge Witton Albion as being the top team in the Northwich area…UNLESS THEY GET UNFAIR HELP FROM A POWERFUL BODY.
We should be vigilant in making sure that no such powerful body is allowed to give them, and only them, help to climb back up the ladder an awful lot quicker. If we ignore these warnings, don’t be surprised to see a council owned stadium being built at Moss Farm, and guess which team will be allowed to play there for hardly anything!!
At the same time, we also need to keep an eye on the Flixton based team, and look out for them also getting funding from outside forces, whatever/whoever they may be!
Now you DO have a point Thatch, make sure your local councillor is aware that any help that is proposed for them is stymied very quickly.

I noticed that kronenburg had five hundred odd at home a couple of weeks ago and about half that for their last home game. Anyone know the reason for that? Did they copy our families for a fiver or do something similar? .sick
They did a bring a mate double the gate promotion.
I believe that the shop is now closed. That didn’t last long!!! Wa*k8$s…SBL
They will have good ideas that we would do well to note - mock them at your peril. We have to build well and look after ourselves. The more we deride them the stronger they will be as a result as it will give them a cause to strive for.
With Formby winning today I see that Kronenburg have missed out on promotion on goal difference  With resignations from the league etc where they are in the non league pyramid it wouldn’t surprise me if they get pushed up a league anyway but I do wonder if their fans would see their first season as success or failure given they have several times more fans/income than all the other teams in their league. mooney
I Work with six “so called” 1874 fans that have been to two games this season Including the historic first game.( oh but they bought a shirt!)
I don’t think we have anything to worry about just yet.

Sorry to hear that mate!
As you may be aware Worksop Town resigned from the Northern Premier League during the week, which meant the FA National Leagues Committee had to re-shuffle the Club allocations at Steps 3 and 4. This effects our League, as Kidsgrove Athletic have been reprieved from relegation and will remain at Step 4 (Northern Premier League Division One South).
This in-turn has a knock on effect and as per League Rule 13.4, Bacup & Rossendale Borough are reprieved from relegation to Step 6, having finished the season next to bottom in our Premier Division, and will therefore remain in that Division (Step 5) for next season. To further complicate matters we have received the resignation of Formby FC who were runners up in our First Division (Step 6) as FA National League System Regulations state “the Clubs finishing in the bottom position in each of the fourteen Step 5 divisions will be relegated to Step 6 and will not be reprieved” means that Wigan Robin Park are not reprieved and the promotion position vacated by Formby will now be offered to the third placed Club as per League Rule 13.4, which is 1874 Northwich.
Just means they will go bust that much quicker.
WHS.
Yes but what about the Flixton real V*cs… mooney
Eventually he will go bust again. We are run in a sensible way, we will be successful without spending money we have not got.
