1874 Northwich - Boxing Day Arrangements

On Boxing Day, we will welcome Witton Albion to Townfield for what we anticipate will be a very well attended league game with increased interest locally and large followings for both clubs.

To help ensure the afternoon runs as smoothly as possible, 1874 would like to provide the following information.

PARKING

There is limited parking at the ground for players and management. There is a car park adjacent to the ground at the Barnton Memorial Hall however please be aware that the Hall Committee levy a £2 car parking charge.
Free parking is available at the library (200m from the ground, on the opposite side) and there is a larger car park at the Primary School (400m from the ground), both being on Townfield Lane. There is also free public parking behind the Co-op store at the opposite end of Townfield Lane

We would respectfully ask that supporters use the car parks and not park on the adjacent streets, as we are extremely mindful of residents’ access. Please be aware that Townfield Lane is one of the main roads linking areas of the village, and we do not want access impeded for residents and people visiting the area. The authorities are aware of the derby game and will be monitoring the situation carefully.

ADMISSION

The club urges all supporters to arrive early, to help with the smooth entry to the ground.

Turnstiles will open from 1.30pm and the Café and Bar will both be in operation to enable supporters to enjoy refreshments. Should supporters leave their arrival until just before kick-off, their entry to the ground will be disrupted and they will miss the start of the game.

Ground admission is as follows:

Adults £10
Senior’s (Over 65) £6
12-16 year olds £1
Under 12s Free

Due to an intermittent issue with our card readers, we would prefer supporters to pay by CASH at the turnstiles. This will allow for a swifter entry to the ground. If supporters could also have the correct amount ready to pay, this would also save time. We would ask that officials and 1874 season ticket holders gain entry through the larger gate at the side of the turnstiles.

GROUND REGULATIONS

1874 Northwich would like to remind all supporters of the following important ground regulations.

• Supporters are not allowed to encroach onto the pitch or surrounding area before, during or after the game.
• The following articles must not be brought within the ground – fireworks, smoke cannisters, flares, glass bottles, or any articles that are prohibited by the rules and regulations which could compromise public safety.
• The use of threatening behaviour and/or foul or abusive language is strictly forbidden.

Any person found in possession of such items or behaving inappropriately, will be asked to leave the ground. Should supporters not adhere to these important regulations, then the clubs will be reported to the relevant authorities and sanctions will be taken against both clubs as a result.

Your co-operation over parking and admission arrangements for the derby game would be appreciated.

Thank you.
