Witton’s U21’s Development Squad are in “derby” action on Sunday afternoon when they take on neighbours 1874 Northwich in a North West U21 Development League Premier Division at Moss Farm. Witton’s season hasn’t really got going so far as they have struggled for consistency and have won only two league games this season. 1874’s form has been better and they will be looking to complete the double over Witton following a 2-0 victory earlier in the season. Amongst the 1874 playing squad is one person who needs no introduction to Witton in striker Kyle Phipps, who has seen his career progress since his move and he has now also become an integral part of their first team squad in recent weeks. His potential was evident during pre season as a Witton player but that is all in the past now. Witton will be looking to put on a performance and hopefully get a positive result as they look to climb away from the lower end of the table but 1874 will be hoping to continue their good form in recent weeks. Kick off at Moss Farm is 4pm.
