I hope we haven’t lost another outstanding keeper !

Quite a few players wait to see what offers are around from bigger clubs, not heard of anyone else leaving yet only Sambor so too early to worry. UTA

I’m sure that discussions are ongoing with present squad members and prospective new additions so, our management team will be working on it.

BIGGER clubs Colin, what do you mean? We are the BIGGEST!

The FA have released guidance today that includes a proposed commencement date of Saturday 19 September 2020.

That’s good news at last and I see from social media, we are back in training so looking good for some real football UTA

Pre Season fixtures can take place in August with conditions attached but we are still awaiting confirmation as to when fans can attend games again. Judging from Karl Brooks photographs, training was well attended and a couple of unfamiliar faces present or maybe I just didn’t recognise them.

The Northern Premier League have confirmed that the system remains unchanged for the 2020/21campaign following the early termination of last season due to the Covid 19 Pandemic.

Some good news. Witton Albion confirmed today as entering the FA Cup at the 1st Qualifying Round stage on Tuesday 22nd September 2020. Three Northern Premier League teams (Ashton United, Matlock Town and Stalybridge Celtic) were drawn at random to have to play in an earlier round to make the numbers work.

The not-so-good news is that the prize money in the FA Cup is being somewhat reduced in season 2020-21.

One of Witton’s Pre Season oppononents Vauxhall Motors, are amongst a number of clubs who will not take part in this season’s Emirates FA Challenge Cup competition. Due to the number of teams entered into the competition, a number are selected at random and unfortunately Motors are amongst those to miss out this time around.

Look out for announcements later today, particularly news of a new signing.

News due around 5pm.

Steven Tames has returned to the club from Ashton United whilst Goalkeeper Chris Renshaw & midfielder Tom Owens have agreed to extend their stay at Wincham Park for another season.

Midfielders Danny McKenna & Will Booth are the latest to extend their careers at Wincham Park for another season.

Glad to hear Steve Tames is back with us, also good to see more players signing up again especially Chris Renshaw who I thought was the best keeper in the league last season. The squad is looking good and we should be up there when the season finally gets under way. Keep up the good work Carl and company.

From what we have seen and heard so far, we are probably still looking for a full back and a centre back to complement the squad, look forward to seeing developments UTA

Defender Jack Byrne & Midfielder Cesaire Lingouba are the latest to extend their careers at Wincham Park for another season.

Defender Nick Ryan & striker Rob Hopley are the latest to extend their careers at Wincham Park for another season.
