so new man in charge has been with us almost a fortnight and signed nobody but players have left.are we going to end up a 5 a side team at moss farm.
I rather think not…unless we decide to give the ground to our wonderful tenants. Lets face it they are SO much better than us, better manager, better players, more winding up orders…
Bring back Tucker he’ll score us goals and FC Utd aren’t in our league no more
Bring back Tucker he’ll score us goals and FC Utd aren’t in our league no more
I know and understand it will never happen it’s just that we are desparate for goals…
It very nearly did happen last week! However Carl decided against it and Shaun was devastated and has since signed for Bootle

So we have turned down a lad who scored I think it was 37 goals when at Skem in this league, words fail me…
If Tuck ends up back with us I’m definately packing in watching us after 57 years. More trouble than he’s worth there are better than him knocking about I notice second time round Skem got rid of him quick. We’ve got enough discipline problems in the dressing room without taking on more trouble!!
Fully agree MONA
Signing Tuck would not of gone down well with some people but how many players in this day and age would be willing to play for free in a bid to prove themselves?
Shaun asked for a chance as he loves this club, he said he would play for no money as hes frustrated seeing us slipping down the leagues and would run thru brick walls to score goals in a Witton shirt once again.
1874 enquired about his availability recently and Shaun thanked them for their interest but because of his feelings for Witton Albion there was no way he could join them!
What he did over 3 years ago was dumb, he says that himself and since the birth of his son hes a much changed man and this is why he wanted to prove to those doubters/haters that winning games for Witton Albion was his way of saying sorry!
Anyway its not going to happen now so we may as well stop going on about it as Carl has someone else in mind.
Lets just concentrate on those who do play for Witton as there the ones who can stop this slide right now.

The past is in the past, the guy has had the guts to approach Witton and offer his services for free. He is quite clearly remorseful for his behaviour in the past but he has moved on, taken on responsibility with the birth of his son and has the desire and drive to try and get back into the game. We have absolutely nothing up front, a reduced budget but can still turn that talent down and all because of morals and doing the right thing. Morals won’t help us out of this mess but Tucks goals could. Is it Carl that wasn’t interested or was the chairman not prepared to give him a further chance.
Carl decided against Tuck, rightly in my opinion not the same player and way too much baggage for it to possibly work, I hope Carl has more players in mind and we see them announced soon.
Two weeks in and no sign of anyone being brought in to get is out of this mess.
Looks like Powell has gone. Sheehan is nowhere to be seen and we are plugging gaps with kids who are not up to it yet.
What exactly is going on behind those closed doors of the boardroom?
I heard on Saturday that Brian was promised the job and that he didn’t even know he was coming in for an interview as he had been given a start date. So why the U turn? Why go with a man who has a below average record, never managed at this level and seemingly can’t bring in players. I’m sorry to harp on about this but nobody seems to be able to answer the questions.
And those that will come on and say ask the board at the games. I went into the club on Saturday after the game and couldn’t find anyone to talk to about it.
Be interesting to see if the crowd can get back about 200 for the next home game.
Either he was dreaming or you are delusional, or both. In case you haven’t noticed, we currently have two forwards who have scored 72 goals in 95 games and 41 goals in 39 games.

I along with a few other Wittoners have seen the text conversation between Shaun and your Manager Mr Street
1874 asking shaun to join them is true,i’ve seen the text and shauns reply
Suspect a degree of over-interpretation there.
And the manager is not the club. The club would not entertain such an idea.

Who knows what’s going on behind those closed doors. And I wouldn’t hold your breath for a response from anyone on here or in the clubhouse and I doubt we’ll see 200 again this season
We have that man Rushe at our ground and someone suggests we have Tuck back, good God never mind our league position, how low can we stoop morally? Our club has a proud record of honesty and integrity but is slowly losing that record, re-signing Tuck would destroy it completely.
WHS.
Don’t agree with you WHS - are you sure you can afford to take this moral high ground?
