Witton Albion Development Squad are looking for people living around the Northwich area, who would be willing to provide accommodation for Trialist players on a short term basis. At the present time, players are having to travel, in a lot of cases over long distances and this causes logistical problems.

Director of Football Development John Salmon, is looking to bring players closer to the football club and the facilities as this would benefit all parties and help improve the system further. It is hoped that this would be provided at little or minimal cost.

Anyone who is in a position to help, could discuss the details with John through the football club.

Surely we should be looking to develop local players? That would be the most sustainable way of doing things. With Manchester and Liverpool so close by,it seems strange to be looking further afield with our limited resources.

i think we do look to establish local players but it is increasingly harder to get the standard we want or can attract, this is an alternative approach using our strengths to get other players in and i dont see why not it may be only 2-3 players a season but why not !
