AFC Darwen Youth 2 Witton Albion Youth 4.

Witton Albion Youth continued their great start to the season on Sunday afternoon as they hit another four goals at The Anchor Ground against AFC Darwen. The win sees them rise to second in the North West Youth Alliance First Division with maximum points from their first two games.

Witton went in 3-0 up at half time and although they conceded twice in the second half, a fourth goal made sure of the points. Witton’s scorers were a hat trick from Robbie Hatton & also another for Joe Salter.

The only blot on the afternoon was that Witton had to play the last fifteen minutes with ten men, following Robbie Hatton’s dismissal for a second yellow card.

Witton are at home to league leaders Irlam FC, next Sunday on the enclosed pitch at Moss Farm - kick off 2.30pm. They currently trail the leaders by four points but have two games in hand.
