Yes, I thought " getting fed up of paying £7 to watch that shower of sh*te" wasn’t quite Wheels’s normal style!
If it had been Eli on the other hand…!

you had me fooled for a minute or so .I thought I didn’t recognise the players !!
Wicked !!
Displayed good character last night and as a team worked very hard to get something from the game.
There were periods of the game when we struggled to get the ball off Fylde, they passed it around well although in truth for all the time they had on the ball they lacked a cutting edge. Our keeper was not tested too many times.
Both goals came from the same corner spot, they scored from a near post header after a prolonged period of first half pressure. Their striker got ahead of Macca to turn the ball into the net. In the second half with the benefit of a slight wind and downhill slope we stuck to the task and battled really well. Having had both Kinsey and Smith substituted we were without target men upfront and relied upon forward runs from midfield.
The players were visibly pushing all out for an equaliser and we risked being caught in the break a couple of times, however the pressure paid off when it looked like time was running out. Cometh the hour, cometh the man , to coin a phrase. Pritch lept like a salmon (ok perhaps a slight stretch of the imagination but it was a bloody good jump) to thunder a header in from 6 yards.
Scoring so late probably helped us as it restricted the home side from coming back. They were probably the more composed and settled on the night, we are clearly still finding our feet. There are certainly some positives to build on, Kearney is leading by example, Macca is different class at this level, Matt Wood is playing well and Kinsey is a good target man with the strength to hold the ball up. I still think that Warner should be starting at left back, with Wood wide left, but we’ll see.
We need to get some goals from the front men, Macca and Pritch (the two assistant managers) the only goalscorers so far. That however says it all about how important these two characters are to the club. Their work ethic and desire sets the best example going to any young player we bring into the club.
Not a bad little set-up at Fylde for a football ground in a field, what they have done is all neat, tidy and good quality. The bar and facilities more than adequate for their needs. Although they need to replace the 40w bulbs in their floodlights or give the players miner’s helmets to improve the illumination!
They’d end up lightheaded.
And you were doing so well Dodger… Normal service is resumed!!
I bet you’ve fylde that one for future use.
