Had a e-mail this afternoon from Mark concerning him standing down as the editor of the Albion Review I’m sure you will join me in thanking Mark on a excellent publication and a job well done, great advert for the club, not seen one better, apart from the ‘Albion News’ at the Hawthorns that is.
Have to agree with Baggie. The program has made huge progress since Mark took over, and i only hope that it can continue to do so.
Mark has done a tremendous job with the programme this year, the standards have improved significantly apart from the odd dodgy article that has slipped through the net!!! Mark deserves a great deal of thanks for the effort in making the Albion Review one of the best quality programmes in the league. I know he has worked hours and hours every week on this regularly until the early hours sending emails. Well done Mark for such a great contribution to the club.
Unfortunately Rabbit will also be retiring his crayons next season, although the contribution will be missed far less than Mark’s.
I hope the high standard can be continued and moved forward for the benefit of the club.
Having recently been in conversation with our new Commercial Director Alan Simpson the proposed move, whereby Samantha combined her Commercial Manager role with the task, of following the hard act to follow, of editing the match programme has been reviewed.
To ensure the department’s efforts are fixed squarely on bringing revenue to the club then it is seen to be somewhat of a distraction from this crucial aim.
The club is therefore hoping that the role of Programme Editor may well appeal to a supporter of the club. They would work closely with the half dozen or so contributors and ensure the relevant articles are despatched to the printer by the agreed timescale.
Anyone interested in this role or wanting more information is either welcome to post here or contact a club official. Ideally we’d like to be able to announce the appointment at the Information Meeting on May 29th.
