Albion v Buxton

For those of us who can’t make it, according to Buxton website, live match commentary here
http://www.highpeakradio.com/listen.html

I presume from that commentary Eddie you will be doing updates? Should it fail let me know.

Good luck for tonight lads;)

Anyone else not able to get the commentary?

Was going to listen to this but just keep getting a 12 second intro over and over again.

Any updates?

Currently: Gateshead 3-0 Eastwood according to heedforums.

Half time:

Witton 0-1 Buxton
Gateshead 4-0 Eastwood

According to nonleaguezone atleast.

come on witton keep your heads up still another 45 mins to go.Gatehead 4-0 up

Sky sports also have that as the Witton scoreline, Ross scoring on 45 minutes. Am now getting High Peak Radio, but it is only music at the mo.

Am now getting commentary, will keep this thread updated.

Can it get any worse? What was SUCH a fantastic season is turning into the worst nightmare ever.

Where is our fight? Where is our determination? How can it all go so wrong in such a short space of time? We finished TWENTY ONE points ahead of Buxton, yet it looks like we’re going to blow it on the finishing line for the second year in succession.

yes - I really AM that depressed. I desperately hope that Jim lays it on the line at half time.

To make it even worse, the bloody Scum are beating Barcelona as well…:frowning:

I’m still getting the same 12 second intro loop.

Good luck in the second half.

From the Guardian website:

BUXTON struck in first half stoppage time to leave Witton with a mountain to climb.

And it was a soft goal to concede.

Rob Lloyd, initially fouled by Anton Foster, then hauled the same player back to concede a free kick 30-yards from goal.

Scott Maxfield stepped up and took the kick quickly, catching Jon Kennedy unaware. He could only spill the ball to Neil Ross who pounced to score a simple goal.

Albion’s defence simply stood and looked at each other.

They had created little at the other end in a tepid performance, Mark Peers picking out Adam Warlow on the quarter hour only for Michael Towey to rob him in his shooting stride.

Buxton were similarly anaemic in attack, Jason Bradley squeezing a header over the bar with their best effort.

Any news Laurence?

Witton struggling and starting to get frustrated - Peers booked for kicking the ball away.

Witton team: Kennedy (GK), Kearney, Barras, Pritchard, Brownhill, Peers, MacPherson, Lloyd, Junior Brown, Warlow, Rod Thornley

Subs: Rapley, Ben Thornley, Woolley

Cheers. Simultaneous posting!

According to the (slightly biased) commentary we’ve lost our mental edge. I think lacklustre probably sums it up.

20 mins to go. Buxton have subbed a striker for a striker.

Lastest:

Gateshead 4-1 Eastwood

COME ON, ALBION!

One last HUGE effort for all the supporters!

I’m saying a quiet prayer - and I ain’t even religious!

Buxton just played the ball across the goal line but couldn’t get a touch on it. Having a few corners in a row and pushing for a second.
