Albion v FCUM

I think the fact that both subs are defensive players was possibly the reason they weren’t used! We were also fortunate that we were never behind in the game, as with a lack of positive changes available to us we could have been snookered!

Yes we nicked 3 points, but it was a great game played in a great spirit with both teams going hell for leather.

The FCUM fans may feel hard done by - they looked a really good side going forward - but I think they have to put this result down to a bit of luck going our way. It was long overdue.

This team shows pride and passio - we have come long way since that drubbing at Gigg Lane

Still on a high after yesterdays game, its what the managers, players, groundstaff, fans and everyone to do with the club deserved.

Nic to see us really going for it as on other big occasions in previous seasons we have sat back and let teams come at us which should never happen, especially when your at home.

Nobody had a bad game yesterday, Blackie’s work rate was unbelievable and Tommo wasn’t far behind, throughout the team we were strong and could have easily won the game if Blackies header went in.

I fancy a point or 3 at Eastwood, anyone else??

COME ON THE ALBION!!!

Magic result and a fantastic day. Great Atmosphere and an even better performance. Still on a high to and probably will be all week. As Ched said the work rate was unbelievable.

It really was a good game of football to watch and one of the best matches Ive seen at WP for a while.

Well done lads.

Great win lads, sounds like it was a good atmosphere too. Wish I could have
been there. Boy, does it feel good to be out of the bottom four. Not out of
woods yet, but this is a big step in the right direction. Great attendance
which will boost the coffers. Keep up the good work on AND off the field.
See you all soon.

Very proud of all the players yesterday I haven’t seen a Witton team run so hard for a long time, and Gary Finley made me laugh when we scored I thought he was doing a Martin O’Neil impression running down the line jumping up and down.

I think it would be unfair. I’ve read Chad’s report, Andy Simpson’s report and other reviews on the game and I think they all follow a similar line. There is often criticism of press reporting but we are always going to see it from a biased ‘red-tinted’ position. The fact is that a picture of the padlocked gates at the VS has been a bigger story over the last couple of weeks, whether we like it or not. The amount of posts on this website on the subject means that people are intrigued by the farcical drama unfolding at The Stadium of Half Stripped.

We have not won in four months at home, lost seven consecutive games at home before yesterday, none of which is particularly headline grabbing (and if it is then it’s for the wrong reasons). Our win yesterday deserves a good amount of space and reporting, it got us out of the bottom four and showed great spirit in front of more than 1,000 people, compared to the expected defeat V*** defeat at Weymouth, our story this week challenges for the headlines. That said between now and Wednesday there is time for another headline grasping expose from across the canal (there is one every week)!

great win by the lads, dont forget this is the same team that humilated us 5-3 at gigg lane, ther is a video frum an fc fan http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=WW7tewU43Ok

I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere else, but there is a highlights video of Saturday’s game on our official website.
It is the only one on there, but it does say more videos are coming soon. Does anyone know if this is going to become a regular thing, or was it a one-off provided by FC United?

Based on the quality and content, I think we can rest assured that FC did not provide the video  Has you seen FCUM-TV? It’s brilliant!

WAFC-TV is here http://www.wittonalbionfc.com/watv/index.php

looks great

Nice to see we got three quarters of the Guardian’s back page this week, a good headline and picture of the boss!

In contrast the Chronicle is emblazoned with pics of a dozen V*** fans holding up pointless banners that will not help their cause!
