Thanks to Andrew Simpson on Twitter (@simmo_on_sport) for updates:
Cooper (GK), Gardner, Ben Harrison, Booth, Wood, Andrews, Sheehan, James, Hancock, Stott and Foster
Shaun Tuck, suffering from a dead leg, is on the bench with Clayton, Glover, Shaw and Moseley.
The biggest news of all though is that Steve Foster leads the attack after completing a transfer from Chorley this morning
Oliver James makes his first start, while Josh Hancock returns in place of unavailable Jamie Harrison who is at work
Great display all round and 5 could have been 10. Hats off to Danny Andrews for the hat trick, and commiserations to fozzy who did everything but score.
But THE best moment of theday was seeing the Vics under 9s with their faces painted red and white. Priceless!
First visit to Wincham Park this season for me and thoroughly enjoyed the match. I thought Man of the Match was Steve Foster due to his tireless running and intelligent and unselfish distribution. Great piece of business to have signed him permanently. Looking forward to my next visit.
Well I’ll be damned, I swapped work around so I could make the Skem cuptie…meant I missed todays game though, just got in and got the result, magnificent…superb and well done to all!!!
I think Simmo is being kind when he says:
“Frickley flickered, albeit briefly, when top scorer Gavin Allott’s skidded a header off target from Luke Hinsley’s assist soon afterwards”
Great football served up by our management trio.I thought Frickley made it a very open game, they kept their big two forwards upfront all game and they were a threat.Perhaps that was partly their downfall because i expected they would shut up shop after a bad start to the second half.
It was great day with Danny costing the Kempes family fifteen quid, worth every penny.Ollie James playing like Ollie Ardiles.Steve Foster showing with sublime skill how easy it is to miss from three inches. It does not get any better. It was a complete team performance.
Great performance from the club in signing Steve Foster, this great Mancunian was made for the Blue Square.
One sobering thought, the Chairman in his matchday notes said that the average Blue Square North teams budget is almost twice that of our own.I do feel that a big blue patch on our arm would look a little crude on our great stripes.
Really enjoyed today, it reminded me a lot of last season. Delighted that we’ve signed Steve Foster, as mentioned previously the bloke is a winner, you only had to see his reaction when he failed to score to see how much he puts into it.
Fantastic to see Olly James back too, the type of player who’d run through walls if he was asked to. bowdown
