Albion v Ilkeston

To be fair most comments to WHS have concluded with “come along and see for yourself”

OK, I wasn’t going to bite, but this is definitely my last post on this forum.

One of my previous posts was described as “ridiculous” and “downright irresponsible” by trying to suggest WHS had been driven off the forum. Well, if someone called you an “irritating moron” and a “tit” and “childish”, I think you would take offence wouldn’t you? I would say comments like that are the actions of a Troll - wouldn’t you?

Also, why should someone be told to reign in comments? It’s his opinion. And not some agenda, as some suggested. It’s the variation of opinions that make this sort of media interesting to read and contribute to.

I don’t think WHS has turned his back on the club, just the forum. I think it’s a very sad day when someone who has supported the club since the 50’s is treated like this.

Eddie think its because its been posted so many times!! I told him on here if its such a problem to go and talk to Mark and Pritch. Pritch even said at the fans meeting he would love to have a chat so he could tell him personally the reasons why he re-signed foster. Not many managers would offer to do this, but WHS still hasn’t been for the chat and instead posting the same again. Does he not want to listen to an explanation?

Nobody wants wittoners to stay away.

I don’t agree at all with a stance of not supporting the Albs due to a particular player being signed, but I can understand the stance. Steve Foster has been absolutely brilliant since re-joining and I hope we keep him for a good while!!

There has been an agenda against WHS, who I don’t know, for his posting style (referred to as drivel) and for his “I’ll drop a tenner in at the office” posts. For any Wittoner to be hounded off here is a great shame, and very sad.

Eddie, is refusing to watch the team due to Foster playing not by definition turning his back on the club?

And you’re ok with WHS being heavily critical of Witton Albion on the Guardian website to the point that the Guardian have felt it necessary to remove his comments? It’s ok because it’s just his opinion? Regardless of the damage it does to our club’s reputation?

Totally agree with last comment. Time to seriously make up ALL! WAFC needs ALL its supporters to pull together and rise above things that have been said…TO YOU ALL, its a good promising era for Witton fans don’t bugger it up with minor disagreements…If you were a Vics fan then you would seriously have something to whing on about!!! I don’t agree with every football decision that Pritch has ever made, neither do I agree with every decision that AVB has ever made at Spurs, (its called being human!), but if those decisions are made in the best possible interest of their respective clubs and both challenging in their respective leagues all is well in da house!!! :clap SBL…

I don’t care whether you like him or not we should be tolerant and let whs have his say it is clear he is a wittoner, yes disagree with him and challenge his views but no need for abuse so I agree with eddie on this cannot comment on his guardian comments not seem them but everyone should have a right to his or her opinion or we are in trouble. I’m even prepared to listen to man u fans opinions on here :S

I’m a big fan of Foster I think he’s a good player.

Yes he is playing well and putting a good shift in for the team that was not whs issue it was to do with his attitude and reputation for playing beyond the rules and I had some sympathy with that view but to be fair he is now playing well and in mostly good spirit a few niggles here and there but not any worse than other so like whs foster deserved a chance and maybe whs should have done that and for sure fosters fans should have been a bit more tolerant. Imo

I cant see how anyone is sticking up for WHS if someone is rubbing your teams name into the dirt how are these comments going to help attract new fans and followers like you said earlier in this topic eddie at this given time witton need all the support they can get so why are you sticking up for someone who is rubbing the name witton into the dirt just because he doesnt like Foster (who has helped us find ourselves in a good position in a tough league).

Like previously stated Pritch has said he would love to discuss the signing of Foster to WHS for him to continue to say bull after that and not took Pritch up on the disscussion how has he got the nerve to continue to criticise Foster, Pritch or Witton.

This is the first time i have commented on here for along time …
took me three attemps to log in because i forgot my password …
but i fealt it had to be done

if any mutual fan looked on here it would put them off about visiting the club. any potential new fans looking would put them off? and as eddie said the club needs support so quit with the negativity … if it means WHS stops with the criticising now hes gone well surely that can only lead to good outcomes

I bet them Ilkeston fans that commented are pissing them selves at all this … embarissing

For goodness sake people,
I have been down at the club for 13 hours today, I have seen people physically working their B~~~cks off , digging and laying drains on the pitch in the peeing down rain, Some shouldn’t even be lifting a shovel but still carry on for the love of our club. This is non league football, it needs volunteers, it needs people to devote time, give money, give respect to each other, whether your in agreement with each other or not. This club is a family, without that aspect we may as well pack it in and form another club may I suggest Witton 1887 FC . Please stop bickering on here and give the “popular side” in the ground some happy tablets.
