Macc had 5 trialists on in the 1st half and then put a stronger team out with 9 changes at half-time. Their squad containing three African Internationals plus La Liga vastly experience Oscar Rodriguez.

In midweek they’d beaten a very strong Blackburn Rovers team behind close doors

I have to say my bet at 40-1 looked very good in the first half, I do believe I have “Beaten the Odds” if nothing else as this Witton side are more than capable of giving us a good run for our money. I expect the odds to drop dramatically in the next few weeks if we can keep our side together. Good to see Matty Woods playing today, top lad and a damn good full back too. Shaun Tuck looks capable of at least thirty goals this season.
WHS.

Anyone fancy a sweep on how many times WHS puts 40-1 in a post this season?

If we win the league and I am the only one to back us at 40-1 you will see it a lot, otherwise I shall say little about it but I can’t believe you lot have so little faith in our lads that you don’t want to have a flutter. You can back each way and get a quarter the odds if we finish in the top four. Come on, half the proceeds to the team would be a big boost to the team.
WHS.

Got to say if that was a team full of internationals and conference players then I will take a bit of 40-1

Typical Steve king team trying to bully their way to a win.

My prediction is 40 posts

“My prediction is 40 posts”
I’ll bet a tenner on it.

Enjoyed the first half. Some good football played. Macc fielded a much stronger team in the second half with fresh legs and pinned us back somewhat I thought. Still it was a good work out. Also, good to see lots of Macc fans at the game. It makes a welcome change to see. Lookin forward to the game on Tuesday!SBL

I for one am already fed up to the back teeth with WHS and his bet.Correct me if I’m wrong but you won’t collect on your bet until after the season is over so it will do nothing to benefit the squad this year.
I also think it is a disgrace to accuse all other Wittoners of having “so little faith in our lads”.
I don’t gamble but I have faith and support the team in my own ways.

Great performance yesterday I thought, first half especially. Roll on Stalybridge B)

The Dodger. Don’t get your knickers in a twist. My comment about lack of faith concerned how many Wittoners have already settled for mid table, not just failing to have a bet. I support my team in my own way and I am happy you do the same. Comment regarding money would not be paid until the end of the season, true, the idea is to give the squad a big incentive to push for the title, we can’t pay the wages and bonuses of other clubs in our league so I merely thought this idea would counteract that anomaly somewhat. See you all on Tuesday night and I promise not to mention “THE BET”!!! (Mind you I am 66 so my memory sometimes fails me!)
WHS.

I agree with Dodger, I’m all for freedom of speech WHS but accusing us of having “so little faith” is an insult. You’ve had a bet, I wish you luck, but don’t imply that the rest of us are in the wrong for not doing so.

In terms of the game, I was impressed, especially the first-half. Although that wasn’t Macc’s strongest team, they were mostly still League 2/Conference standard players otherwise they wouldn’t be trialing them. I really like the look of Tuck, I think he will be a real asset to us this season.

Agree it was a very impressive first half, impressed by both tuck and shaw look like great additions to our squad. Good to see the macc fans turn up in numbers. Only downside for me is that there weren’t more of us wittoners at the game especially as it was the first time to see the lads at home since we got promoted. Hoping for another good game on Tuesday.

Silent but Ledley has said everything I was going to say, totally agree mate!

Here’s looking to Tuesday B)
