ALL OUT AT THE OVAL

Sad to hear about Caernarfon Town all but last draw their final breath.

It is a shame to see a team once grace the NPL fall upon impossible times, despite i would imagine hefty pay-outs from the Welsh FA.

Like Eli has said in previous posts, the time has come for radical change and to revert back to a senior Cheshire/Lancashire league.

More regionalised football is the order of the day.

The Blue Square leagues are far too professional for ourselves.I do not mean to knock our wonderful club,i just feel were far better off out of it.Let teams progress and have ambition but not against the present day backdrop of boom or bust.

Imagine a sunny final day of the season that sees us take well over three figure travelling support to Victory Park,Chorley to witness the Albion win the Cheshire League.

All this is possible if we can break the stranglehold of Sky Sports.People have to get back into the habbit of watching local football.

Historically strong footballing towns, like Northwich, have the potential to get back to the good old days.We just have to stop people watching Portsmouth on a Monday night in the pub.

Don’t totally agree Mario.
I think the Blue Square North is equivalent to the old Cheshire league with many
of the same teams- Droylsden,Hyde,Stalybridge,Stafford,Northwich,- plus more recent foes from NPL/Unibond Premier- Fleetwood, Southport, Telford- and that is a level we should be aiming for. These are all teams we used to compete with.

I agree that Blue Square Premier is out of our depth however.

Regionalising the leagues is the only way to stop even more semi pro clubs goin bust.
