Neil Murray’s charges make the relatively short trip to Alsager Town on Saturday afternoon when they take on The Bullets Reserves side in their second pre season friendly. They will be looking to take some positives from last weekend’s opening friendly at Atherton Laburnum Rovers which saw them beaten 4-1 in a game that didn’t reflect the true scoreline on the day. With new playing personnel and new coaching, it will take a bit of time to develop an understanding and hopefully, the results will start to come. They face another difficult test against higher-ranked opposition in Alsager but the experience will give the team something to work with ahead of the new season in the North West U21’s Development League Premier Division. The team finished last season well but this presents a new challenge for the lads and one I think they will look forward to. Kick off at Wood Park Stadium is 2.30pm.
