Its Banter, wind up and putting them straight about our club as they are so pious and perfect ( 2012 plastics I mean ) you can see what the thread is about just dont read it, I like this thread and it doesnt stop me being 100% interested in the Albs
Of course u like it CJ - u started it !
Got to have a bit of banter !
We have our own ground in Northwich, we play in a higher league and at the moment have a really good feeling around the club.
What we have a lot of other clubs would give anything for , that speaks volumes.
As Iâve said let the topic go quite and people will soon get bored.
People got bored a while ago particularly of WHS who just canât let it go.
As for watching a car crash itâs not really is it? Yeah ok we wonât be going up this year but thatâs football. Some 1874 fans are upset about that but it is what it is.
Quick question. During our short existence how many trophies have Witton won? How many have we won? How many times have Witton been relegated? How many have we
You lot are having a storming season when you can get your games on but you are one loss away from giving up on the title and having to content with the lottery of the play offs.
Good luck with that
We will at least be in a playoff this season - our season is not over in March unlike you plastics. If you had seen us play this season you would not be so cocky about us failing and we have a really healthy balance and NO debts the futures red and white in this town AW
Lets just hope that the two majority shareholders dont cash in their shares and that the missing rent money for the season from JRFC doesnât make to big a hole in your accounts.
Firstly, there arenât two majority shareholders. Secondly whatâs this notion of âcashing inâ ? For Shares to be transferred there has to be a buyer and I am not aware of any market in WAFC shares. As for rents being paid (or not as the case may be), as long as we pay our bills thereâs nothing to worry about - and thereâs no sign that we arenât paying our way this season !
I think you need to focus on 1874 and start counting your own pennies. Whatever you have in the bank wonât buy you an equivalent of WPâŚ
oh dear
It really is a shame but lets hope they do keep Street He gets my vote LOL
Iâve been pondering Mr Walkerâs comments for a few days. He is course correct, itâs been a brilliant season but we are likely to finish up in the play offs and that is a lottery. What he fails to understand of course is that every Witton fan is expecting that and deep down, expecting us to bugger it up too. Witton fans have got no right to be optimistic, weâve had years and years of not quite reaching our potential, there is no reason to suppose that will change now, despite the fact that we obviously have a very good team, on and off the field. The thing is, on those occasions when the people who run our club have had the option of throwing caution to the wind chasing success, they have chosen not to. And thank goodness for that. We have seen across the canal what happens when you do. The demise of the shit of the town was no surprise to anyone, we all knew they had been living beyond their means for years and years. But we have also had to contend with the likes of FC Halifax, AFC Telford and Chester, teams whose owners chased success with money that they didnât have and then ended up in our league when they were of course far too big for our league. Add to that Shaw Lane Aquaforce - a small football club that will never be anything but a small football club but whose owners have the Abramovic complex and will no doubt take this little club into oblivion. Shaw Lane are getting gates half the size of Wittonâs and there are currently 13 clubs in our league with a higher average attendance. Who really thinks that Shaw Lane are going somewhere in the long term? More likely that they will go the same way as Colne DynamoesâŚThe truth is that I am living 3500 miles away from Witton but Iâm teaching my kids all about them because I am confident that no matter what, Witton will exist when they are grown up. And Iâm teaching them to expect disappointment. And Iâm giving them chocolate when they tell me they hate Northwich Vics (they are still a bit young for me to give that shower of shit their real nameâŚ). Mr Walker will no doubt enjoy our disappointment when we lose to a last minute goal in the play offs that goes in off somebodyâs arse. But he will never know the sheer joy of watching the team he really hates crumble into an embarrassing, disastrous mess. All Witton fans have had that pleasure in the last few years. Thanks Mr Walker and chums.
Just seen that their manager has resigned.
Theyâre now looking for a new manager following Ian Streetâs resignation this afternoon.
Sorry Paul, our posts must have crossed.
No worries I just saw Simmo had tweeted it
Shame I was looking forward to Street leading for years ( of mediocrity in the dog and duck league for years to come lol ) shows the intelligence of the plastic fans suggesting Dundass as the next manager all I can say is yes please. UTA
some of their fans need to give their head a wobble, can see this happening again if they donât get promotion next season, anyway if they donât get what they want perhaps they will break away from 1874 and form another club.

Seriously?
You are actually bragging about not being relegated from the North West Counties?
Oh dearâŚ
Good morning.
Glad to see that on a weekend when you have what could be one of your biggest results of the season you still find time to talk about us. Itâs nice to know you care so much or that we create so much passion in you that you have to come on your own forum to talk about us. Just disappointed WHS hasnât chipped in with one of his inspiring posts!
Yes difficult weekend for us. Season finished and said bye to Streety which was the right decision. Weâve got the budget to win this league but it hasnât happened. Maybe next year eh and we can be on the same level then
Who will we appoint? I doubt it will be Scott Dundas. Whatâs Brian Pritchard doing these days or is he still Mr Witton and wouldnât touch it! Who knows how managers will turn out. Look at your gaffer. Almost destroyed Marine yet comes to you and seems heâs built a fantastic squad capable of getting back into the Premier League.
But thanks for thinking of us. Good luck in the play offs
Mr Walker, your last comment certainly amused me.
Considering there is
a post on your forum about Witton Albion with well over a thousand replies , it seems rather strange to come onto our forum and make a comment about us.
I do agree with you about one thing, Carl is doing a wonderful job.
Things arenât too rosy over in Winsford are they? Was only a matter of time before the novelty wore off. Absolute SPANKING from the Linnets on Saturday was enough for the manager to follow the majority of the fan base. 1874 who? :woohoo:
