Atherton Collieries v. Witton Albion(PSF)

Witton complete their pre season programme on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Northern Premier League Premier Division Atherton Collieries.

Pre season has gone well for Jon Macken’s squad with only one defeat going into the final preparations.

A very good performance last time out against League Two side Salford City will have given them confidence and they will hope to continue in the same manner as the season approaches.

Atherton Collieries have undergone changes both on and off the pitch with David Chadwick taking the reins following Brad Cooke’s surprise departure.

A large rebuilding of the squad has also taken place with only a few players remaining from the squad that finished last season.

Witton will go into the game in confident mood and recent results during pre season, have shown that they are more than capable of competing against teams from a higher league.

Kick off at Skuna Stadium is 3pm.
