Atherton Collieries vs Witton Albion.

Witton are on the road again on Tuesday night when they travel to Atherton Collieries in a re arranged Northern Premier League Premier Division fixture, the original game falling victim to the weather as the Skuna Stadium pitch was waterlogged.

The reverse fixture at the U Lock It Stadium back in October saw Witton come out on top with a 2-0 victory, the last time Albion took all three points on home soil courtesy of goals from James Foley and leading scorer Callum Saunders.

The game represents the third meeting between the two sides this season with Atherton Collieries winning the FA cup tie at the Skuna Stadium, despite Rob Hopley’s goal early in the second half, Colls third goal sealed the game in the dying minutes as Albion went in search of the equaliser.

Witton finally ended their winless run with a priceless three points at Ashton United a week ago so look for back to back away victories in what is another crucial game.

They will also be wanting to put the disappointment of Saturday’s home defeat to Stalybridge Celtic behind them and get back to winning ways.

Another tough game is on the cards as Albion look for a positive result and climb away from the bottom end of the table.

Kick off at the Skuna Stadium is 7.45pm.
