Witton kick off their pre season campaign with a very short trip to neighbours Barnton AFC on Tuesday night.
The match is also being played in memory of Gary Bryning who sadly passed away recently.
The game gives the Albion management team and supporters the opportunity to cast an eye over the majority of last season’s squad and the five new recruits.
Witton ended last season in eighth place in the Northern Premier League West Division table and will be looking to improve on that in the coming campaign.
The Villagers ended last season in tenth place in the North West Counties South Division so will be hoping to make progress in the forthcoming season.
Barnton kicked off their pre season at the weekend with a 2-2 draw on Merseyside against MSB Woolton, so will be a decent test for Ben Harrison and his charges.
The last meeting between the two clubs was in a pre season friendly at The Creative Hut Stadium back in 2024/25, when Witton fielded a host of trialists during the game and ended up on the wrong end of a 4-0 scoreline.
Match fitness is the most important part of pre season but Witton will be hoping to start in the right way.

Directions: Turn off the A533 (Northwich to Runcorn) at the Beech Tree Inn (Barnton Village) into Beech Lane. Turn right at the ‘T’ junction with Townfield Lane - the ground is 200 yards on the left signed Memorial Hall. Please note: parking restrictions well signed.
Parking: Parking is available at the Library and Barnton Primary School.
Admission is by way of Card or cash payments at the turnstiles.

Social Club: The Clubhouse is inside the stadium and houses a licensed bar and will be open from 6pm. Please note: Card payments are accepted at the bar.
Please note: Alcohol is permitted inside the stadium but MUST be in a plastic beaker.
Refreshments: Please note: there will be no hot food available from the kitchen. Cheshire Dough will have a vendor selling Wood-fired Pizza.
Toilet Facilities: There is a modern toilet block for ladies and gentlemen but unfortunately, there are no wheelchair accessible toilet facilities.
