Witton now up to 17th position, going above Nantwich … steady on lads !!! woohoo
Now we are definitely safe all the club have to do is decide who is not good enough and look for suitable replacements, a big job for the manager.
WHS.
the way teams are pulling out of the leagues cant see more than 2 or even 1 team going down so could be frickley away again next season i’m afraid .sick
Never in doubt. Do we hope that Darlington come up and FC Scum stay down so that we get two big pay days? Or hope that neither of them are in our league next year which might give someone else a chance of going up…? Either way, well done to everyone at the club for surviving - how many of the sparse crowd were Wittoners?
Well done to everyone involved in the great escape
Probably our best all round performance this season, everyone had a great game against a very physical Barwell side!
Coops was fantastic and didnt have much to do but when he was called into action he did well, a couple of great stops and confident catching from crosses, Moyo had his best match but I couldn’t pick a man of the match because everyone had a great game!
Nice friendly place as well but I do fear for Barwell next week as there at home to FCUM and with just 1 turnstile and a small club 200 yards from the ground (shared with the cricket club) I dont know how there going to cope with 600 away fans?!
Anyway were assured of our place in the NPL and I will look forward to returning to Barwell again next season, great day out and to answer Chris Lowe there was approx 25 Wittoners and many enjoyed a pint after the game sat outside watching Barwell Cricket Club in action
