left with too much to do at the end by the sounds of it.
It looks like we showed some spirit to get back into the game, the only other positives being we drew the second half and our goal difference only suffered by minus one (which given how close it is may be crucial).
Having said the above, the momentum is with Belper and this was a good win for them and bad defeat for us.
very disappointing result yet again. we cant expect promotion with this inconsistency . Maybe this will be a reverse of past promotion seasons and we scrape in on goal diff as other teams have done to us, but I cant see it . I hope they prove me wrong.
Very small consolation with the two goals at the end. We have to win every single game now, Starting Tuesday. Mickleover ARE beatable.
Just had a look at our run in. Home to Mickelover is a hard one but then we have Cammel Laird and Stamford away (11th and 12th in league) and Loghborough (18th) Market Dayton (13th) and Lincoln (19th) at home. I reckon we can get at least 12 points from that little lot maybe even 15. It might just be enough but we have to have everyone fit and raring to go. I will be there for most of the home games if I possibly can but I am umpiring on the 24th. I sincerely hope that whilst I am away in Mallorca Witton will be playing, and winning in the play offs!!

After today`s games only 4 points seperating 2nd and 8th
Showed plenty of fight today in coming back from 3-0 down but " at the end of the day " we are just not good enough. Granted we did have a weakened team but that is down to discipline. Belper are not a great side but thay look organised and have key players in the right positions.
Players having to travel in their own cars does not help the preparation for such important games - looks like we are fated to stay in this poxy league ?
We have now got to win all our remaining games to have any chance starting with the top team Mickleover !
Significantly - not as many fans as usual travelled away today !
I am not going to say it but I am very tempted…

Do we not learn our lessons?? How many times were we late for matches last season? Crucial matches.
I think we were also running late on the opening day of the season?
Preperation is the one thing that you can get right. So why do we keep failing to do so?
I agree Robbo, getting to the match or the bus on time is a basic that players should never get wrong, even amateurs know better. If it was the club at fault, that is even worse.

Was’nt the players WHS it was the bus arriving late so the Chairman made a decision to send the players ahead and the bus the kit and 10 fans arrived at 1420 !
So if the coach had been much later the players would have played without kit, sounds a bit shambolic to me! No wonder we were at sixes and sevens in the first half! We did well to hold them until the pen on the chuffin stroke of half time!!
In my humble opinion we would have desereved a point for our second half performance!! How the hell they got 430 in that ground against Mickelover goodness knows!!!
Disappointing really but with the squad available a point would have been good, although points wise we are in touch the fact we are 8th and all the others have games in hand I think makes it very hard for us to squeeze into playoffs but you never know, with all the players back now maybe we can finish with a real flurry, just one question for those that went why was morgan on the bench -I like him and would have thought with all the players out he would be a first pick ? be there tomorrow another tough one but I think we can win this one ? :cheer:
Morgan had an injury from Tuesday nights game, thats why he was on the bench.
Though suffering from the “Dreaded Lurgy” and without a car I will do my utmost to be there tomorrow night, big game, a win and it is all to play for.
