Belper Town vs Witton Albion.

Witton travel to Derbyshire on Saturday, to take on Belper Town in an Evo-Stik Division One South fixture. The Nailers are currently in the lower reaches of the league table but will provideWitton with a difficult test. Albion’s last visit to The Marston’s Stadium was during the season when both Belper & Witton were relegated from the Evo-Stik Premier Division with The Nailers finishing bottom of the table and taking four points from Witton, including a 5-0 drubbing. Witton have made vast changes and improvement since that time and will look to avenge that but will be taking nothing for granted. Witton’s main aim will be to keep their impressive run going whilst keeping up the pressure at the top of the table. Kick off at The Marston’s Stadium is 3pm.

Mixed thoughts on this one. Lovely little town and a great pub next to the ground, can’t help but remember the 5-0 drubbing we got there a couple of years ago though when they were bottom of the league. Luckily Halloween has passed  and we are certainly a much improved outfit now. If we play like we have been I’d like to think 3 points can be brought back to WP. UTA

A win will be great and put pressure on the team’s above us, Shaw look to be our main rivals and we play them away quite soon.

It may not be possible for me to provide updates from Belper during the game, as I am waiting to go to my second home (Leighton ) and may not have Internet access depending on how long I am away from home. So apologies in advance of this but I will do my best as always. UTA.

Blimey I went last time we played there they are a nice club. I remember that we were awful and lost but I must of wiped the scoreline from my memory!! Was going to go tomorrow after work but a car pulled out on me leaving work today in Manchester and my car is damaged but driveable (well It got me home ok) the front panel is pushed over headlights working but wonky and I can hardly open the driver door so sadly I wont be there! COME ON THE ALBS three points would be brilliant!

Back home now so hopefully, normal service will be resumed tomorrow.

A win would be great, it would confirm us as real title challengers but draw would be no disgrace either.
