Well congrats and thanks to the ermmm fans who came to watch us(not support us) yesterday. If our gate was boosted yesterday by fans of other clubs wanting to watch football then thanks to all 5 of you for coming. I mean who would want to watch Witton(trickies name first although you love to refer to us as R e d S l i m e still) on a swamp(that’s why we water it at half time to keep it wet)? Fantastic effort by all on the pitch but a massive voluntary effort off the pitch from Witton Willy in the town before the game and all those who work for nothing putting hours in purely for the love of it. Its just an example of a well run club that involves its fans, talks to them and isn’t frightened to ask for their help when it needs it. This is why Witton has a huge mutual respect between its fans and board typified yesterday by the simple display of flowers off a recently departed fan behind the Wincham end. Long may this continue.
Rumour has it the club was aiming for a 580 gate and to fall 86 short wasn’t that bad. It’s not a lot to make up and if we all keep the faith and hope and increase our appeals to the Folk Around us by another 5% we will complete the task. We can always Court Additional Supporters without spending a bean on this.
Anyway get yourself on their forum and watch the imploding happening almost every hour, but don’t get involved let them sort it out. UTA

The hard work has finally paid off and a massive well done to everyone involved.
Feel a tinge of sympathy for the genuine fans who appreciate the rivalry but also know when they are down and we are up.
The ones who are bitter and jealous can jog on to Stafford and watch their team die.
