Great fixture, my next door neighbour used to be a Vics fan but he is also a Blackpool fan so he might go next week and if he does who knows he might come again!!

Entry to the Social Club before the game will be via the front door only.
There will be no access between the Social Club and the Football Ground before the game.
In other words, if you want to drink before the game, please enter the Social Club via the front door. Don’t leave it too late to leave the Social Club and queue at the turnstiles to get into the ground.
Access between the 2 areas will be available at half-time and full-time.
Neil, I will be at the ground at 6-15pm if I possibly can.

From Today’s Blackpool Gazette:
"Paul Ince has promised a much stronger line-up for tonight’s friendly against Witton Albion (7.30pm).
Blackpool fielded a team of triallists in the 3-1 defeat at Kendal on Tuesday, when their whole first-team remained at home.
But the full squad is expected to travel to Greater Manchester tonight before taking on League Two York City on Saturday.
The Seasiders were this morning waiting on the results of Bobby Grant’s medical.
The Rochdale striker was on the Fylde coast yesterday and could make his first Pool appearance tonight should one or two minor issues in negociations be ironed out.
Pool also remain in talks with Swindon’s Paul Caddis.
The defender rejected Pool’s first offer but it’s believed talks will continue between now and the weekend.
Despite Ince hating the system, one or two triallists may also be involved this evening ahead of being offered deals at Bloomfield Road.
But he promised: “The familiar faces will be back tonight.
“Because of the situation we are in, we had to put the Kendal game on for the trial players.
“We had to have a game for them to see what they were all about but we’ll have most of the first-team squad back in action at Witton.”
The senior players have each had only 90 minutes of pre-season football so far: 45 minutes at Penrith and another 45 behind closed doors against Morecambe last Saturday.
And Ince hopes to step up their game time between now and the season-opener at Doncaster on August 3.
He said: “I need to get some minutes into their legs.
“Ideally, we want each player to get 360 minutes of football before the start of the season.
“We have to start building up the players to playing 90 minutes in the final friendly against Newcastle (on Sunday week).”
But with three friendlies in six days, Ince is wary of pushing his players too far too soon.
“We have to be careful we don’t get any injuries,” he added. “You only have to look at what happened to Matty Phillips.
“That was a body blow, so we have to be careful with the players we have.”
Admission to tonight’s game at Wincham Park, Northwich, is £6 (£4 over-65s, £2 students and U15s)."
Excellent stuff! Should be a close game then
Looking forward to it!
I’ll be selling programmes in the club, on the stage! Come and give me your money
Good performance from the lads.
It was a good performance, the left winger looked like he’d be a very useful addition. Also what an improvement to the bar and stelfox lounge. Well done Jim and helpers
“Greater Manchester”?
Any more feedback on the actual game! SBL
Paul Ince put out a very strong squad for this game, as did Pritch. Witton didn’t create many chances in the first half, but our defence was very strong, and kept Blackpool down to several half chances.
Witton actually started the 2nd half the brighter, and had a couple of chances to take the lead. However, the last 30mins of the game was dominated by the Championship side as Paul Ince started to instruct his defenders to push on. 3 goals came during this period, the first being scored by Tom Ince.
On this display, I cant see us conceding many goals this season.
I agree with your assessment Thatched Tavern, but why did we weaken our side for the second half against such good opponents? Surely it was an opportunity to test our best. Finally, where were the Wittoners on such a lovely night? I was on the gate and it appeared that two thirds of those present were from Blackpool.
WHS.
As this is only our second pre season game a lot of the lads are still lacking in full match fitness especially in that heat last night. Plus to change it up gives Pritch the chance to cast his eye over the trialists to see if they can cut it. Last nights result was inconsequential for me. It was a good work out for the team.
Defensively we were awesome. Ben, Marc Joseph, Gards and especially Josh Glover gave the front three no way through. Not bad for an attack valued at over £10m!!!
Ok we didn’t create much up top but that was to be expected.
Blackpool were extremely complimentary about us, the club, the pitch and the facilities. Angel Martinez even took time to go on twitter to thank us publically and commend Stu Plant for his efforts.
I think everyone who has helped to get the clubhouse, pitch and other facilities ready should give themselves a huge pat on the back.
But I agree with you on the gate WHS. slightly disappointing that our biggest pre season game only attracted 280.
Thought first half and the start of the second half we did really well against a strong Blackpool side, once the usual friendly changes were made we lost all shape and Blackpool ripped us to pieces, not impressed by any of the trialists didn’t show anything in the time they were given, although the number 11 who started showed glimpses of quality think he would do well at Wittons level. Ben again was MOM for me had there front two in his pocket, he wouldn’t have looked out of place starting for Blackpool to be honest.
As for the gate it’s no reflection of anything, 90% of fans don’t like friendlies if Iam honest I only went to see if Tom Ince played.
Overall a great team workout, and just to add Coopers save first half was absolute quality!

Serious question WHS? For most of them they’d only played 45 minutes or so on Tuesday, and with all due respect to them, were chasing the ball for long periods against a Championship side containing presumably several full internationals. Add in the fact that the whole squad will have wanted to test themselves and get some time, of course Pritch was going to give as many a run out as possible.
I did manage to get a picture of Ben Harrison and Tom Ince during the game.
Ben, great lad, lovely family, super footballer, we are very lucky to have this bloke wearing the Witton shirt, which he wears with pride.
One brilliant moment stood out for me during the game, when the Blackpool player was clean through on goal in the second half and Ben produced a super tackle and came away with the ball. The applause that rang round the ground said everything.
I think when Ben was substituted and the whole ground stood up in applause including the Blackpool fans, showed just how special Ben is, thank god he loves playing for Witton unlike some other gobshi*tes who av again turned out for other teams pre-season, a young Pritch in the making
agree with everything said about ben, he is superb and i hope to see him play for witton for many years. he could easily play at a higher level, i just hope it is with witton.he is mr consistancy. good luck for the coming season ben.
