Don’t let Neil see this thread - he will have a heart attack:laugh:

With that £3 saved everyone can have a go at the predictions then Eli

Well after the trans- atlantic flight to get there it’ll be nice to save a few quid.:stuck_out_tongue:

Given that we take more supporters away than 80 per cent of clubs in this league thats a very good gesture by Boston.

I can feel a coach trip!

Noone mentioned it before but taking 50 supporters to Bradford on a freezing day when your bottom of the league after having lost 12 on the spin was some effort last week.

Masochists - all!

What happened to the 20 of those 50 that could not be " ars*d " going to Ilkeston ?

Probably a similar thing to what made some people give up on Witton to follow Man United in the over-comercialised Premier League for 20 years…

Not naming any names of course…

30 + speccies is still a good effort imo given the circumstances.

You look at other clubs, aside from FC, there are clubs like us, Worksop, Hednesford, Boston (I guess) and Buxton who travel in reasonable numbers.

The worrying thing is how few supporters clubs like Matlock, Leek and Marine bring to away games now compared to years gone by.

As the Boston article alludes to, travelling supporters make a hell of a difference to the revenue streams of some of the less well supported clubs.

If you take Witton as an example and say we average 40 supporters per away game. Entrance fee/programmes/food and drink and you are looking at 12 quid per head - thats £500 into the host clubs coffers.

I wish we could rely on the same in reverse!

Maybe the £9 entrance charge puts them off !

or that moaning old f#rt on the turnstile.:stuck_out_tongue:

i do think we need to look at a reduction considering where we are in the league we are the 2nd most expensive. I think 7.50 would be better til end of the season then up it to 8 next season if we survive.

Knocking £375 approx off our gate receipts once a fortnight will do nothing to help our relegation fight!

If we do this then the wage budget will have to decrease by a further £200 a week!

Would we attract more fans at £7.50 than £9, very debatable, ultimately the only way to attract more fans (like last season) is to play better football. Then all of a sudden no one posts anything about the admission fees!

DEAD ON RABBIT!!
WHS.

Can we try some hare restorer? It’s not worked on my bald patch, but it might work on a Rabbit?

well TT, hare today gone tomorrow !!!

No wonder we’re parting with fringe players.

With admissions like that TT you could be in for some wigging!
