Boston Utd vs Witton Albion Sat 21st Feb

I presume we will be playing in red and white for this one ?

Yes

Boston have informed us that fans will be segregated.

Entrance for Witton fans is via Turnstiles No 3 & 4.

I wonder if prices have been ‘cut’ for away fans too?

From the Boston website;

Boston United are gearing up for Saturday’s crucial ‘six-pointer’ against Witton Albion knowing that three points are imperative in their quest for survival.

A maximum haul against Witton would see the Pilgrims leapfrog their Cheshire opponents and blow the relegation scrap wide open, with 11 sides realistically fighting it out to stay out of the dreaded four drop zone slots.

Admission prices have been cut for Saturday’s clash and Boston boss Steve Welsh is hoping that a bumper crowd will turn out and help the Pilgrims begin their push towards safety.

The Pilgrims will be without the services of injured trio Steve Melton, Michael Wood and Danny Matson, but Welsh’s major conundrum surrounds accommodating his fit-again attacking players, with the likes of Jon Rowan, David Farrell, Ollie Ryan, Jon Froggatt, Kieran Leabon and Gary King seemingly vying for four places.

Welsh told bufc.co.uk: “It’s a nice poser to have and means that a couple of the players will have to sit on the bench. However, that’s great to have options available if we need to change the game.

“Obviously it is a massive match for both sides, but the onus is on ourselves, as the home side, to go out and get three points, which will lift us out of the relegation places.

“The next four games will have a huge bearing on the outcome of our season and three points on Saturday would be a great start to a crucial run of matches.

“We need the Boston public to turn out in force and with admission prices cut for the day, let’s hope for a bumper attendance. That would spur the lads on and may just provide the catalyst for a climb towards safety.”

Kick-off at the Staffsmart Stadium is 3.00pm, match referee is Rob Atkin and there will be live match updates here on bufc.co.uk throughout the afternoon.
