Just spoke to Neil, a good point but we were under a lot of pressure in the second half. Neil Black couldve won it for us but his effort went just wide.
emmm Game was probely as good as your gonna get.Bit supprised about witton myself as you wasnt the normal unibond style team that tries to knock the oppisition around the pitch they actully came and treid to play football. summit not often seen. The only downside was the time waisting by the witton keeper. Apart from that it was a game played with good spirit

A good accurate summary of the game. I am not keen on keepers wasting time either.
On todays viewing, I think we should both be safe. You controlled large periods of the game, but you seem woefully short on strikers. Considering how much possession you had, are keeper was rarely troubled, and we had a few could chances on the break to pinch all 3 points.
Thanks for the great hospitality, and good luck for the rest of the season, so long as it is not at our expense!

I believe most of the time wasting actually came from the BOSTON keeper (worst kicker of the ball I’ve seen), sometimes for really ridiculous amounts of time.
We weren’t as threatening as we have been up front in recent games, but we played some good stuff. Was an even game very dull if you were a neutral.
Boston should have had a penalty 2nd half when Greg took out their striker when he rounded him, but before hand we could have easily scored as their keeper was stranded outfield as we we put the ball down for a corner (all Blackie needed to do was play it across the box to the waiting Lawless or Moseley to finish into an empty net) the keeper ran over, picked the ball up and threw the ball into the crowd which was infuriating. You can’t give more than a yellow for throwing the ball away though it denied us a great opportunity to score, so i suppose justice was served when a blatant penalty for Boston was waved away.
Great support from our lot the 40 odd of us made a hell of a lot more noise than 1100 Boston fans did
Draw fair result, and a good result for us.
Onwards and upwards
Fair result - Boston were poor in the final third and did not push forward enough times to allow us to hit them on the break. On the 2 occasions we did we should have scored.
Good Day, Good point but a very scrappy game.
Hope to return there next season!!!
Thanks to all of you who made the trip and met and made Jack Richards feel part of the club.
Jack had a great day and we hope for his companies continued support.
If only some Mid Cheshire businesses would show the same commitment as a guy from the other side of the country has done!
Yeah it was a scrappy game but still a great day and a good point. We played well in patches and reduced Boston to very little chances. Thought Boston also defended well and reduced us to very little in front of goal.
Draw was a fair result in the end. Good 40 odd Witton fans made the trip and made a load of noise.
Fantastic to meet Jack Richards.
Gary Finleys Red And White Army.
Enjoyed yesterdays game very much (even tho i didnt get there til 3.20!) Boston is a long long way away ive realised!
We could have pinched the points but was well happy with a point in the end.
Ref got both decisions wrong as Greg did take their player out and their keeper did pick up he ball and throw it into the crowd but i spose they cancel each other out…linesman was shocking and didnt really understand his job.
All in all im v.happy with a point great support from the albion fans aswell yesterday.

To put the truth in it we were totelly woefull up front. and considering our strike is a league to striker he was poor 3 times he got a good ballto his feet and all 3 times he scuffed. even at this l id would expect 1 out of the 3.didnt see the take out by your keeper i was to far away to make any commet
I thought the Boston keeper was lucky to stay on the pitch. He pulled Blackie (?) down when he tried to take the corner to pass the ball across face of goal for what would have been an easy tap in.
But t’other side of the coin - it was a pen for Boston as Danny mentioned.
Overall though a points better than nowt and we fight on.
Great support, great day out, great to see Jack Richards - but what a bloody awful journey!!
