Just been told that Brian Pritchard was shot at in his police car on Saturday night in Warrington, Anybody any news, hope he is OK ???
Like the great defender he is, Brian would have thrown everything behind it to block the shot!
Seriously, I hope Brian and anybody else involved is ok. The sooner this country brings back capital punishment the better.
Christ, that’s not good at all. Any news anyone can gather would be appreciated by all i’m sure.
I hope he wasn’t shot at, as from what i saw on Saturday i think he’d struggle to get himself out of the way any time before Tuesday…
Apparently it happened earlier in the week - not even his pride is shot at.
He’s ok.

Witton Albion player victim of air rifle shooting

A WITTON Albion player has been involved in a real shooting incident.
Policeman Brian Pritchard, Witton’s longest serving player, was fired at while on duty in Warrington recently.
He was returning to his police car after an incident near Victoria Park, Knutsford Road, when the rear windscreen suddenly shattered.
Brian said: ‘I thought at first someone had thrown a brick, but it wasn’t and it seems to have been an air rifle.
‘It missed by two or three yards but I don’t know whether someone was firing at me, the police car or just randomly.
‘I’m a bit embarrassed about it all now.
‘But it is a sad reflection on society that someone would want to shoot at a copper. It was a routine job so you don’t expect that sort of thing.’
A search by Cheshire’s armed response team, supported by the Merseyside Police helicopter, failed to track down Brian’s attacker.
Witnesses at the scene suggested youths with an air rifle were responsible.
Brian, 35, has made more than 500 appearances for Witton and is the second Mid Cheshire footballer to be targeted with an air rifle.
‘We are still hoping the public will help us track down those responsible,’ said a spokesman.
Ten years ago Winsford United player Elfyn Edwards was hit by an air gun pellet fired during a game at the Barton Stadium.
