Was thinking of coming to first match of the season but not standing in the away end for a home tie again. We were drawn at home.
If Witton go bankrupt due to a £6 shortfall could you live with that? Could you not just pretend that you were standing in the home end?:silly:
and then there’s complete nonsense…like this discussion about which end we stand in !!
We won’t fill our end of the ground no matter what ! Gates this season? Not a lot over 350. Stop Moaning !! Get a grip and watch the game !!!
I can’t believe that which end we stand in is more important than watching the game !! It’s so pathetic its untrue ! Under normal circumstances you would stand in that half the ground anyway for 45mins before changing ends. The message to the team? Where I stand is more important than watching you? For gods sake grow up !
Such a shame, if only you had come along on Tuesday night…(to Albion tea hut)
Let’s stop this stupid bickering and actually attend the game and cheer on this excellent hard working group of players. Oh i forgot to mention that they really can play football in a classy way. I don’t care where i stand as long as i can see this team play their football. So get down to the net dec stadium on Saturday and cheer the lads on. Believe you me they richly deserve our support. UTA
Just to say that the decision on segregation was NOT made by the BOARD. A meeting was held after Tuesday’s match by representatives of Witton Albion. Most sections, including the Social Club, Stewards, Security, Finance, Football Secretary etc., were represented, and decisions were made by people who have knowledge on how best to prepare for large gate games, going on past experience.
Lets just hope it doesn’t rain like forecast or the home fans will (sorry away end fans) will be left with no cover Bring a brolly
I’m sure the mass hordes of us wittoners will find some shelter. just a question, What constitutes the home end and the away end in a Ground that for 99% of the time you can freely roam around during a match.
Well said its not like we have a Kop end ! and as to the weather forecast- BBC says a balmy 10c and very little rain chance of an odd light shower so lets man-up as they say and support the lads tomorrow. UTA
No Home or Away end in my opinion. The lads stand behind whichever goal Witton are attacking normally so this is an argument about nothing!! On a more important note. Does anyone have access to old photos of the club and teams? I have newer ones for a booklet I hope to produce on the History of the Club but lack photos of “last century” teams apart from the 1990s.
