Burscough vs Witton Albion (PSF ).

Witton travel north on Friday evening when they take on Evo-Stik Division One North Burscough in their second Pre Season Friendly at Victoria Park. The Linnets enjoyed a successful season in finishing fifth in the league and reaching the Play Offs before losing in the Semi Finals. Early indications are that the coming season could prove tough for them following the departure of manager Mark Beesley and a number of their experienced players but they will certainly make teams work hard for anything. The new manager Dave Powell will certainly be trying to rebuild their team and hopefully, give themselves a chance of competing in all competitions. The fixture also marks the return to Victoria Park, of the Albion management team Carl Macauley and Gary Martindale plus three recent recruits to the Witton ranks namely, Anthony Brown, Matty Devine & Paul Williams, who begins his second spell at Witton. Kick off at Victoria Park is 7.45pm.
