UTA.

Great result, and a superb performance by all the team. Best game I have seen Will Jones play, and Danny McKenna was majestic, to name just 2, but to be honest the whole team deserves full credit!!!

Well when I saw the team sheet I never expected that ! at best I hoped for a hard fought 1-0 win ! BUT the whole team clicked and seemed to relish the 4G surface and ripped Buxton apart, the back 5 were just superb and the midfield 3 were everywhere and playing fast passing football around the Buxton players who were plainly struggling, upfront Jones and Owen linked really well with the midfield trio and each other and then the wing backs working tirelessly ! thus making the home teams misery complete, add in 4 sparkling goals plus a well won penalty and you have the memory of a really great display.
What did we learn from today ? Lingouba is better than Smart in the midfield 3 at least in allowing us to play fast free flowing football ! Playing a back 5 is the best shape for this Witton squad without doubt ! and playing Jones and Hopley together upfront does not work that well ! And maybe most importantly the welcome back of Tom Owens
My MOM has to be Jay Foley but then 10 others closely on his tail !
well played all the Witton lads.
