Excerpts from email from Alan Jackson.
We want to promote “buying a seat” in the main stand. There are approx 600 seats, and an ideal opportunity to place names on a specific seat. It could be yours, wifes, kids or predecessors names to be enscribed as you wish. This will be a permanent fitting with a one-off payment of £25 and will be yours for the lifetime of the stadium - eg I’ll be buying three for myself, Dad, and Grandad who were both big Wittoners. However, it doesn’t mean it’s your private seat, and no-one else can sit there – it’s a token for your loved ones to live forever at the home of your team. We need to draw up a diagram similar to booking theatre tickets of what’s available, and what’s already taken
Also, we should encourage people to announce birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and special occasions. This should be sent to Phil Chadwick before a game. Even better if the recipient came to the relevent game and we gave them some sort of souvenir – a card signed by the players for example and photo with the team/family
Mascots – we should encourage kids to become mascots at a charge of £50. However deducted from that would be the admission charges by their group of family/friends. Example Mum & Dad spend £20 admission charge, a cash balance of £30. If there were enough family who spent £50 or over as admission, no extra charge. Again there should be a memento of their day. Perhaps a similar card and a photo with the team/family.
