Cammell Laird v Witton Albion Sat 12th Oct Trophy

Important game this with financial rewards to add to the pressure. Looks like they have got over last saturday and I am confident we can progress although it is never an easy ground to play at.

Certainly never easy, although they do serve a nice pint of Carling in the social club bar which helps to ease the pressure!

Horrible draw, but we are good enough to progress via a replay.Lairds are a good side that play to their strengths at home and their squad is littered with experienced players at the level above.

If we can replicate our recent league performance, with our big game players performing to the occasion, then we will progress.

Far from easy but i do feel we need to win eventually if only just to lay to rest a few ghosts.

I would debate whether there is any such thing as ‘a nice pint of Carling’.

We deservedly won there only a few weeks ago, with pretty much the same squad we have now. I reckon we can win there on Saturday, and advance to the next round.

How dare you, and you being a studenty type as well.

I’ll have you know that Carling is the lager of choice and far superior to anything Australian, Danish or god forbid French!

I hope JAP does not see this post, it will spark a riot!

You were a big fan of Foster’s last season.

Having played them once we know what to expect and we can beat them again.

Hopefully our lads will put in a stellar performance.

Robbo prefers Bitter and rarely Mild though his missives lately have been Mixed. SORRY COULD NOT RESIST!

Back on track now.
With £2200 to the winners (no small beer) it would be a great tonic.

See you there!!

Now I could tell you where the “Small Beer” saying comes from, but as it is not football realted I won’t. Great to see you all up and running again.

You could start a thread under miscellaneous!
