play-offs here we come!

No doubt we will get the full SP later from the guys at the game - but sounds like Greg Smith had a cracker between then posts and made some excellent saves.

Hey ho !

Yes he did. Not a very well struck penalty but he guessed correctly and kept it out. Made one full length tip over to keep an effort heading for the top corner. The wind was gusting and swirling all over the place to make life difficult for both keepers.

A great team performance with everyone playing their part. MOM for me was Neil Black who lead the line well, worked hard for all 90+ mins and took his goals well. Had a few chances to complete his hat trick but their keeper redeemed himself in the second half somewhat.

About 30-40 Wittoners made loads of noise and boosted the meagre home support. Weird ground; two tiny iron sheds for stands, portakabins for the tea bar and boardroom; yet the floodlights and PA system were amazing. Bizarre really!

Best of all…3 points against a fellow struggler.

An excellent performance and a great result.
More of the same please.
Onwards and upwards:laugh:

Fantastic result. Excellent performance and we fully deserved the win. We showed character and never let our heads drop. Black ran him self into the ground, Pritch did everything asked of him and Greg made 4 or 5 great saves. It was a good all round team performance.

My MOM Greg Smith.

Come on the albion!!!

come on the albion said " now 4 the playoffs" a little optamistic i believe.

were gonna win the league were gonna win the league and now yer gonna believe us and now yer gonna believe us were gonna win the league.

(this was a tongue and cheek announcment by lutkie92)

Superb performance.

Just to put it in perspective, Cammell Laird did not put out a weakened side. The reports of them having a cash-crisis and releasing all their players appears to be somewhat premature. Their Chief Executive was telling us in the boardroom that they have just secured a massive new sponsorship deal, and that they will not be having a player clearout.

Roll on Tuesday!

Gritty performance in difficult conditions - Greg Smith kept us in the game and redeemed himself after last weeks below par game.

MoM was Blackie but Pritch was’nt far behind - mention also for Tommy Rooney he worked tirelessly for 80 mins or so before being subbed by Lee Thompson.

Away from home seems to suit our style of play ,hitting teams on the break but we have got to start winning games at home now to climb up the league.

Jingle bells,jingle bells…

Black just didn’t seem to get tired and Pritch was immense again. The most positive thing on Friday was that we didn’t crumble when we conceded and we got straight back at them. That is the sort of attitude/reaction that we need for the rest of this season.
