I am wondering as we enter the business end of the season, if not having a permanent chairman in place (meaning no disrespect to the acting chairman) will affect us in the possible signings of players that Carl and Gary may want before the deadline in March.
That’s hard to call unless you know the current budget, our wage bill, current finance position but we have enough accountant brains at the club to do what is correct for the club. Even if that means cutting the budget to survive until we get more people in place on the board. UTA
C.J., the playing budget cannot be cut anymore as according to John Salmon’s last statement it is at the bottom end of the division as it is.
Any more cuts would almost certainly see the few players we have left having to leave.
The budget might not need to be cut at all but until things settle, we will have to trust the current board to manage affairs. UTA
All well and good saying trust the current board but apart from Reg, who are the current board?
Are they football people who attend games like Reg and John Salmon did, because no disrespect until Saturday at 2.30 in the bar I had never seen the acting chairman at a game home or away.
