CHASETOWN v WITTON

The is 10-12 places available on the team coach, leaving Wincham at 16:00pm @£10 per head. Let Pete Riley know if you want to reserve a place.

I have obtained all the necessary matchday information for the game but, was unable to include it in last Saturday’s programme due to me not receiving it until after the printer’s deadline had passed.

As this match is dependent on FA Trophy replays anyway, I will post the information on here once it is confirmed that the match is going ahead.

Matchday information for Chasetown on Tuesday is as follows:

Carry on over 1st traffic island, over toll road bridge and turn left at 2nd island into Highfields Road(B5011). Continue up the hill to mini-roundabout and go straight on past the church on left and school on right. The ground is on left at the end of the road.

Cheers Wheels, good work.

I’ll be there! Come on witton

And I’ll be there with the JP CERAMICS Predictions !

Although another difficult game is in prospect, Tuesday night give Witton the opportunity to put a little bit of breathing space between ourselves and the following pack.

Due to Market Drayton’s FA Trophy replay against Bamber Bridge, Leek don’t have a midweek fixture so although it means an extra game in hand for them surely, points in the bag are more important.

Could not agree more Wheels, points in the bag are what count not ones you might get. I said we would win this league with something in hand and I still belive that.
WHS.

I notice that Chasetown wear yellow and blue at home.

Any chance of the score going on the site tomorrow night as I cannot make it, “Twilight Inset Day” at school. (Just means I have to stay at school until around 6-30pm.
WHS.

WHS, there should be ‘twitter’ updates that can be seen by following our Twitter account at www.twitter.com/wittonalbion or these also appear on the home page of the official site! The wonders of technology and all that!

I will hopefully, be providing updates on the forum also with the valuable assistance of Neil. So one way or another, we’ve got it covered.

Incidentally, did anyone see “Sky Sports News” tonight? Chasetown’s ground was featured in connection with a certain Mr Ferguson’s comments about Premiership referee Alan Wiley. He was being put through a fitness programme by former referee Dermot Gallagher and it was filmed at Chasetown, probably because Alan Wiley comes from that area.

He can come and ref our game tomorrow night, it would be nice to have a decent official at Unibond level!

I saw the clip.
I think it was done last year rather than because of Sir Alex’s comments.
Like some of us I think Alan Wiley has eaten a lot of pies since then.
The clip also showed the exposed nature of Chasetown’s ground.
In light of today’s rain and wind I think umbrellas and woolly hats are the order of the day.
I think if you come off the M6 onto the A5 you can avoid the M6 Toll Road which will be £3.50 for a short stretch!

Looks like a fair bit of heavy rain today…

what colour are we tonight?

I take it that you have gleaned this from the Unibond Website.

Unfortunately, the website is wrong, and Chasetown have informed the league of this fact. The website shows Calton Town FC’s strip as being Chaetowns’s strip.

Chasetown play in Blue shirts, Blue Shorts, and white socks, confirmed to me by the match secretary a few minutes ago.

As such, we will be playing in our normal away kit, of all yellow.

Come on ewe yellows!

Just checked with Des - We are in all YELLOW - Chasetown wear Royal Blue.

Surprise, surprise the official UniBond site got it wrong B)

Thanks for that.
“Yellows” is the chant to which I know all the words.
