Chester beat Tranmere aet tonight. The semi final is provisionally scheduled for next week and at the Deva. We will await confirmation
Think we will work off this one as the other thread refers to round 2 and the now never ending task of how to play a minor cup semi! Should be confirmed as next Tuesday night, wonder if we will play a strong team?
If we don’t play a strong side then what is the point of Witton Albion being in existence? There is no such thing as a minor trophy in football a trophy means something no matter what competition it is, the small competitions is a notion that was dreamt up by arrogant so called top four sides in the Premier League, if we don’t try our best to win every trophy competition we enter it shows a real lack of ambition in my eyes!

I had to reply to your comment as I could not agree more!! It is time the League Cup Winners and the FA Cup winners went into the Champions League as they are “Champions”, finishing 3rd and 4th does not make you “Champions” of anything. (And I am a Spurs follower.) As for our “Little Cups”, I believe that the prize money should be so high as to make them no longer “Little Cups”. The league is always important, promotion brings in bigger crowds hence more cash and in my opinion does not require large prize money to make teams compete. Back to my hutch.

The Cheshire FA Website gives the date for this tie as next Monday 11th March. However, I have just been in touch with the Chester FC Secretary, and he thinks there could be problems with this date.
He is going to do some investigation and get back to me.
