Witton Albion Development Squad are in action on Thursday night when they travel north, to take on Chorley Reserves in a Lancashire League West fixture. The fixture is only the squad’s third outing this season and they will be looking to build on their previous two games against league leaders Lancaster City Reserves, one of which saw them gain a very creditable draw. The Magpies go into the game with an unblemished record from their opening four games so, it represents a really stiff test for Witton but they’ve defied the odds before. Kick off at Victory Park is 7.45pm.

Directions: Exit M6 at Junction 27 (Standish). Leave motorway and head towards Wrightington. Take 1st right into Mossy Lee Road (next to garage). Turn right into Boundary Lane (going over motorway bridge). Carry on - road changes to Pepper Lane, follow to end. Turn left onto Preston Road (A49) and head towards Coppull. Follow signs for Chorley onto Spendmore Lane at first roundabout. Continue following signs for Chorley. On entering Chorley, Spendmore Lane becomes Moor Road and then Pall Mall following traffic lights. Just after The Plough Inn, turn right into Duke Street, then take the third right (after school) into Ashby Street. The Stadium is on the right.
Parking: There is limited match day parking available at Victory Park, with the club utilising the neighbouring primary school and the small car park on Rangletts Rec off Pilling Lane for all home games. The cost of parking within the club controlled area (ground, school and Pilling Lane) is £3 per car. Priority is given to Club Staff & Officials, Matchday Officials, Visiting Team, Disabled Badge Holders (no charge) and Car Park Season Ticket Holders. All other parking is allocated on a “first come first served” basis.
